Football/Basketball Conundrum

OK, since we're sitting here waiting for basketball, and there's no football, let's theorize... If the little Michigan All-Sports Controlling Genie showed up, and could promise you either: A) a Final Four appearance this year, or B) a 9 win football season next year which do you take? As for me - I say the Final Four and I'll take my chances on football; I think football recruiting will take care of itself and it'll be another year till RR's system is second nature to our guys anyway (especially with new DC)

i love both sports so much and them both to do well. but i would have to take the 9 win football season. for the simple fact that it would get every one off of michigan and rich rod and see the his system will work at michigan.

I thought about going big-time, but thought it ought to be more realistic... If we go for it all... I'll change it to: A) immediate basketball NCAA Championship, or B) a football NCAA Championship **BUT w/ a single loss to OSU in the regular season ***** YES I KNOW THAT WOULDN'T HAPPEN SINCE WE PLAY THEM LAST - just makes the 2 choices "more even" in my mind... I think it's a no-brainer that we'd all take 13-0 in football over anything, including our children)

the Final Four appearance. assuming the proposition rules out anything higher than 9 wins, the next best situation is (obviously) 8 wins. and the difference between 8-4 and 9-3 is negligible. our "draw/appeal/fanbase" with the bowl committee could make up that difference and get us a 3rd place tiebreaker invite to the Outback Bowl. only the basketball team can get us to the Final Four.
