Football assistants receive $2.5 million in incentive bonuses
From the top of my head, these are very competitive bonuses. Our assistants salaries should be a bit higher to be competitive with OSU, UG, and UA.

"Please stop contacting me, you already make more money than you're worth and you are not entitled to bonuses from U of M coaches. You can only keep the bonuses that were open to you and your assistant coaches, which you did."

Since Matt Weiss got over $500k, you would think he could hire a professional computer hacker vs. DIY'ing it.

If nothing else, the hacker creates the plausible deniability, or at least delays the discovery a good long time, if you get someone who is truly a professional. On the downside, it's a drag to have a coach vulnerable to blackmail opportunities, although in the SEC, I am sure this is almost polite behavior.

So coaches need fall guys as well as players. Good to know.

Its kinda bullshit Minter didn't get the 100k bonus for getting third in the big ten . Effectively they were the number 1 defense in the conference, but they didn't get the luxury of playing in a division with 6 offensive disasters in the Big Ten West like Iowa and Illinois did.

Yeah, I suppose. But I'm not really gonna shed a tear for a guy making seven figures. But that's just me.

You are correct. It should be in the top 2 of BIG East.

They were worth every penny... Now, give them all a raise - and, creative an even stronger bonus payout for ... well, winning the last game of the CFP.

or even the 2nd to last game of the CFP?

Simply put, this is an elite staff of assistants.

Haven't read the story, but I know these guys earned every dollar they received, and probably some more. My question, though, is did either Minter or Moore donate a little back for that hideous Fiesta Bowl performance?
February 15th, 2023 at 6:54 PM ^
Why Moore? The offense put up more than enough points to win the game if defense had played up to its own standards.
February 15th, 2023 at 7:36 PM ^
The first half was awful - the game planning. The second half, with all the points, was backyard football...
February 15th, 2023 at 7:39 PM ^
Unfortunately the offense also gave up 14 points. The defensive performance looks a bit better when you subtract out those points (and without them the 45 points the offense scored would have been enough
February 15th, 2023 at 9:01 PM ^
If the offense had not given away 14 points on pick 6s the defense would have been good enough to win.
