Michigan went into the game ranked #2. The teams next game is on Sunday against 11th ranked Wake Forest. Both games are in Iowa City as part of the ACC Big Ten challenge.
Other Ranked Big Ten teams include: Iowa #3, Northwestern #4, Maryland #9, Rutgers #15, Penn State, #16 and Ohio State at #22.
Iowa and UNC also play Sunday.

This appears to be the best season for non revenue sports in some time. Field hockey and womens gymnastics have a pretty good chance of winning the national championship. Throw in ice hockey even though it is a revenue sport.

I still feel bad for the F.H. team after their heroic comeback fell short in OT in the National Championship game. They deserved better.
So it's good to see this validation of how much of a coin-flip the championship game really was.

Biggest screw-job against a national power since the OSU game.

Nice job! Last year's final was at UNC, this year the Final 4 is at Ocker and it's time to return the favor.
It would also be nice for softball to get a better post-season playoff venue this year.

Huge win but just a few months too late. Kind of like the basketball team beating Villanova in the fall instead of the National Championship game. A Michigan tradition.
