A few Rodriguez - Mangino parallels (this season)

Edit: To clarify, Mangino is being investigated internally for some anger-related issues. I don't think this would be happening (or at least not make the news) if KU had a winning record. Link below in the table.
Huffing and wheezing aside, I'm seeing some interesting parallels between Mark Mangino's program at Kansas and the current Wolverines. I know the coaches in different places in terms of their tenure at their respective schools, but I don't think it is any stretch to say both have shown coaching excellence as well. Anyway, on to the comparison:

Telling quote from Mangino (about his investigation): "You lose a few games in a row, those type of things surface. It's not uncommon." I'm not really saying anything new here, but I think Rich Rod is clearly seeing the same thing Mangino is facing. He had an embarrassing year last year and that got people amped up looking for reasons to be extra critical this season. After the first 4 games, those people laid off a bit, and now we're seeing the resurgence. I think Mangino has a point. Without a losing record, I doubt any of this stuff would be given serious consideration. Bottom line: I still support Rich Rod and think he will be a great coach for this team. I'm sure there are plenty of coaches out there who would struggle to deal with the pressure he's facing and probably fold trying to make such major changes to a program in the limelight. Clearly, Mangino has shown he can be an excellent coach at Kansas and will hopefully weather this investigation to lead them back to their glory of a few years ago. I guess I am only hoping we see the same with Rich Rod. I loved his teams at WVU and once he gets rolling here, I think no one will be thinking twice about practice time. And yes, in retrospect, I realize this might have made a better diary entry...

I thought you were going to compare him to the mangina in Cleveland. Thank God; I would have negbanged without even reading. As for the parallels...only in the vacuum of this one season. Overall, Mangino has been very "up and down" with Kansas. RR has been very "up and up" with Tulane and WVA and very "insert sarcastic madlib comment here" with Michigan. One parallel I know for sure: the Big 12 North is as bad as the Big 10. I would say RR is significantly more svelt than the Kansas Mammoth.

The big 12 north is shit pile of 6-5 teams at least the big ten has 3 good time honestly we would destroy most of them as a conference. Lets see these matchups Ohio State (9-2) vs Nebraska (7-3) Iowa (9-2) vs Kansas State (6-5) Penn State (9-2) vs Iowa State (6-5) Wisconsin (8-2)vs Missouri (6-4) Michigan State (6-5) vs Colorado (3-7) Northwestern (7-4) vs Kansas (5-5)

if Mangino took a shit, it would be large. Rich Rod's shit, while maybe just as smelly, could never be as large. Therefore, no, there are no parallels between Kansas/Michigan, Rich Rod/Mangino.
