My son and I walked by a bar that was showing this game. He was excited about Luka Dončić, so I told him not quite, but that F. Wagner is a special Wolverine. He got excited. A new sports hero for him to study.

This reminds me of the fact that Franz, Moe, Iggy and Houstan all play for the Magic and all played games for Michigan between 2018 and 2021, but none of them were teammates before being on the Magic.

The Magic sure do love them some Wolverines.
Iggy retired from the NBA though.

I have to imagine Franz and Moe were teammates at some point prior to Orlando.

I just read that Lithuania is contesting the game because they didn't get to shoot a free throw after a technical foul.

Had dinner in Vilnius about a week ago and we got into a conversation with a local couple. While they were big fans of the Vilnius team, they love Iggy playing for the national team even though he plays for Kaunus in the Lithuania league
gotta love the Michigan connections and the fact that it allows you to have a passionate hoops conversation half way around the world
we also had an in-depth convo on Russia but that is a story for another day and may violate some MGoBlog sensibilities

Also - the Finns in Prague - took over the town. Those folks know how to support their team and party
are there any up and coming recruits from Finland? Getting one would be a huge at to the Michigan international connection!

There are some very talented hockey players but not so many in basketball. (Not many Finnish American football players either!) (Some really tough soldiers too!)
