MSU still has work to do
Lloyd was on the playoff committee.
And by the way, Hollis can't be in the room when they are deciding on MSU's fate.
Nice try, though.
Sparty is likely in, even if they lose on Thursday. Vanderbilt is 3 games over .500 and in the "should be in" category. Syracuse doesn't have a great resume either. Only way MSU doesn't make the tournament is if there's a rash of upsets in the lower conferences, and even that may just drop them to a play-in game.
I'[m kind of hoping that we don't get to play four games this weekend. Winning the BTT doesn't really mean much, and four games in four days can really tire a team out. I'd be content with two wins and a close loss in the semis. That would mean we'd have beaten Purdue again -- a resume enhancer. But, if the team catches fire and goes for it all -- might as well go with the flow!
If we win 4 games it will get us off the 8/9 line in the NCAA's and we would not have to face a 1 seed in the second game. I'll take that.
