Email from Hackett regarding tomorrow's game

I didn't see this posted anywhere yet but it looks like there is some good info here for those going to the game tomorrow:

Michigan family,

I trust that Thanksgiving was great for you and your families.

Like you, I eagerly await our game this Saturday vs. Ohio State. And I wanted to get this note out to all of our fans as you make plans to come to the stadium.

For the following reasons, you might want to give yourself a bit more time to park and get into the stadium this week:

First, in parking such a large crowd we rely on the golf course parking capacity to enable traffic to expediently empty from I-94 {both east and west}.

One issue we face is just how wet the golf course parking areas might become with this week's snow and ensuing rain Friday. While no rain is forecast for Saturday's game, wet grounds could impact our ability to ease the congestion. So go to MGoBlue.com and our social media platforms (@umichathletics and @umichfootball on Twitter) before you depart home; we'll post updates on the status of the opening parking at the golf course as soon as possible. We will also notify our local media, including radio stations.

Second, there will be increased security to enter the stadium. We have asked our ushers to make sure that fans aren't bringing forbidden items into the stadium. This means that in addition to having your ticket scanned, they will ask you to open your coat, etc., for the security check.

Given we can't add more entry locations, we ask fans to show up a bit earlier for this process. We will open the stadium gates at 10 a.m., and we hope to see an increase in the number of patrons arriving at that time.

Third, there will be other noticeable minor changes to our stadium operations. For fans who normally use the northeast corner of Crisler Center for restrooms, please note that this entrance will be closed and not accessible on Saturday. We have added additional restroom locations in the Blue Lot to account for this change.

See you in Ann Arbor.

The moment I heard about the golf course, I made some last minute adjustments to my plans so hopefully I can avoid the resulting rush. For this game in particular, I will not let little inconveniences like a golf course in a poor drainage area deter me from enjoying tomorrow's festivities.
