No joe Boisture...
And Devin did pretty good.
Joe Boisture #1 QB in the country, no doubt. Sparty is gunna be soooo good next year that got that transfer and that kid from Midland. Keg stands all around.
Neither Boisture nor Gardner finished in the top five.
It appears that Bolden fared the best of the Michigan QBs.
Big difference since Gardner is a dual threat QB. The camp doesn't take into account the ability of a QB to run the ball. It's a passing showcase. Feedback also has Gardner faring pretty well with a big improvement over last summer.
Yep, and he did win for "best feet" and "best in the classroom," which seems to be a perfect fit for us. No one expects him to have the accuracy and arm strength of all of the other QB's there, but if he's great on his feet and willing to put in the time to learn a complicated system, that sounds great to me.
Not to mention that he's got time to develop his passing skills.
Not that you can't work on intuition and footwork... but speed / athleticism are pretty difficult to train. Can't wait to see him hit the field!
...exactly what I was going to say
"Here are the winners from this year, as chosen by Colorado's Cody Hawkins and Missouri's Chase Daniel."
I couldn't possibly care less what Cody "Go play intramurals, brother" Hawkins has to say.
It's actually Cody's father, Dan, that wants you to go play intramurals, brother. Although Cody is not exactly a star quarterback, so your point is valid
just wanted to throw that in there because it's one of my all time favorite coach rants.
rant for sure, but i'm partial to Herm Edwards' "Play to win the game" rant simply because of those crazy facial expressions he was making. Also, he threw in a "Helloooo"! Classic.
My favorite rant ever is, unfortunately, too old to be archived so it never gets brought up in these discussions. Darryl Rogers' "What does a coach have to do around here to get fired?" quote is like the greatest thing ever.
Yes, that and Denny Green's "Crown 'em" rant are two of my favorites
1) Face Slap.
2) Playoffs???
I am partial to Gundy's "Im 40 years old, I am a man" rant. I laughed so hard at that one. I can just imagine Will Ferrell saying that exact same thing. haha
What do you think dinners at the Hawkins residence are like? I bet Mrs. Hawkins utilizes the spread like no other. And did Rivals ever rank quarterbacks based on scrambling ability when the egg timer is running out?

Boisture was a shoe-in for Miss Congeneality.
What a waste of a "wonderful attitude".
how does SDSU have a 4* QB commit? did that guy grow up a SDSU fan or did his whole family go through that school?
New coach that took Ball State to #11 in 2008.

1. Gardner
2. Heaps
3. Bolden
....
12. Boisture
1. DEVIN GARDNER 6-4/195, Detroit Inkster Big, tall, strong-armed quarterback that is willing to put in the time to be the best....We could be looking at a future first-round draft pick in five years. And yes, I strongly believe he is a top100 player.
Gardner's the best QB there, but Boisture is just outside the top 100 and Gardner is just inside the top 200.
The camp finished after the rankings were updated. When they do their final evaluation before the season next month, I bet that's fixed.
The "awards" don't seem to make much sense as Tyler Bray won "Golden Gun Accuracy Award," but Chandler Whitmer won "Most Accuracy."
So why do the recruiting services keep referring to Inkster as "Detroit Inkster" instead of "Inkster Inkster"?
It's almost on par with "Redford Detroit Catholic Central (Novi, MI)".
Well, I don't know about Inkster. But I do know about CC.
Catholic Central started out in Detroit back in 1928. It was and of course still is a Private school whose legal identity is Detroit Catholic Central. The school moved to Redford in 1978 and elected not to change the name. The school stayed in Redford for close to 30 years. They moved to their new location in Novi back in 2005. The school is still Detroit Catholic Central, it is just located in Novi now. I have no idea why they would leave Redford on the name.
I know about CC. I went to Divine Child in Dearborn. I just find it comical the recruiting services refer to it that way.
Inkster HS is in Inkster, not Detroit.
I used to own a pet squid and called him "the inkster." It wasn't so much because he would spurt inky liquid when alarmed, but because he went to Inkster in Inkster, which of course everyone knows is not the same thing as Detroit.
I don't see what you did there.
I don't think you do, either.
It seems like a mistake.
