EDIT: OT* - Leonard Fournette is Kind of Good

Submitted by Asgardian on

OK I guess this came off differently than I intended.  I think some got it, but clearly more than a few didn't like it.

Mostly I saw this on EDSBS and just wanted an excuse to marvel at Leonard Fournette doing incredible things.

*Footnote - Technically OT, but interesting enough to mention that there's a Blake Countess sighting here in the LSU game vs Auburn.  Yes I'm sure Fournette will be doing this to DBs all year.

One more attempt at humor: Obviously this is proof that we should've hired Les Miles. (/s)

EDIT Part 2:

As a long time reader, I should know better than to post two day old highlights.  So neg away for that if nothing else.

Original Post:

Title: SEC 1, Countess 0

Title is a bit tongue in cheek, I obviously would have preferred if Blake Countess had not transferred, but his decision probably affects his life a bit more than mine.

Anyway, after Auburn got off to a slow start they opened up SEC play against LSU this week.

Blake and the Auburn secondary took the worst of it from Leonard Fournette.

Countess gets "Poster-ized":

Leonard Fournette truly is "like Deveon Smith, but FAST".  Actually reminds me a bit of Adrian Peterson.

To be fair, Countess did lay a good hit on LSU TE coming over the middle:

I saw him up close last year when I went to the UGa-Auburn game. Nick Chubb is for real.

He was getting the ball 35-40 times a game last year when Gurley was out. He was a true freshman, and he straight up dominated everyone he played. How he plays against Bama in a few weeks will go a long way towards determining whether he'll be getting himself an invite to NY or not.

Have tickets for for the LSU game this weekend in Syracuse so I'm pretty excited about seeing him bowl over some weak ACC competition. Really wish kick off wasn't the same time as our game though
