DRob To Announce Tuesday?
On the Scout board they're saying that DRob and Witty will announce together Tuesday at 11am. If they're announcing together that sounds good for us or K-State. At the very least it gives RR a few hours to find another QB if they choose to go somewhere else.

It says they're announcing Wednesday (Signing Day), not Tuesday.

So you're telling me the people on the free board are wrong...damn...nothing new

I wonder if it bothers Witty at all that these schools don't really want him. They just have to take him in order to get DRob. It's like a beautiful woman says she'll go out with you but her ugly friend has to come along. I'd be kind of embarassed by all this if I were him. Let's be honest, he'll never play.

It's a pretty general feeling from the insiders that Michigan probably would've offered Witty regardless of Denard Robinson. He's not rated highly because he's injured and has missed time. If he was healthy, he probably would be a 3-star. It's ridiculous to say he'll never play if/when he comes here.

he'll probably play corner and currently we're only like 5 deep. that said, who's to say he won't play?

I think that was the plot of that Paris Hilton movie, The Hottie and the Nottie.

you can't say that he won't play, he could be a great special teams player or even a safety down the road. hell, he may be able to hold onto a punt.

Hold onto a punt? Ahh memories.

Raise your hand if you've seen video of Witty.

No one? Oh, okay. Then I guess we probably shouldn't be judging whether he's going to be good or not. Otherwise, all you're judging on is:
He's a 2-star cornerback.
He has offers from KSU, FIU, and Michigan.

Either way Magnus makes a good point. We rely heavily on the judgement of respective sites and recruiting gurus to indicate how good a talent someone is. It is and never has been an exact science. So even if scout or rivals or some other guru has him as a two star DB the coaching staff was going to offer the kid so that says something to me. My discernment on his abilities is limited to the piece of video that I've seen. And even with that, I don't have the football IQ to gauge on nothing more than my limited experience in the sport so I'll defer to those in the know and let RR do his job.

you don't need to "see stuff" to make judgments.

Leave it to Baoro to bring me back to the all encompassing reality that surrounds us in this realm, the internet. Yes, you are correct my friend. It doesn't require me to have a specific expertise to be an expert at anything. When I am in chatrooms I am a well endowed rocket scientist who likes long walks and surfing in my free time. Did I mention that I was well endowed?...yes?...I love the internet. On here I am RR's twin brother who at the age of five was sent to live with his grandparents because of a freak accident with some toxic chemicals that left me blind and deaf in my left eye and ear. This is well documented on wikipedia. But what isn't documented is how the toxic chemicals gave me freakish powers, the ability to see into the future fifteen minutes ahead and hear bad guys thoughts about doing evil deeds within a ten mile radius. Because of these powers I have teamed up with Barwis to fight crimes. Barwis himself, has mutant like strength, will and cunning. Together we are M-force a virtualy unstoppable crime fighting machine...lol let me stop...

I have two good friends who played against Witty, and a few days ago I asked them what they liked, etc, or didn't like about him.
He was quite regarded pre-injury, and after it nobody expected him to do anything. He came back, played well, and actually helped his team a lot in the playoffs. Obviously, he's not going to step in and guard the oppositions #1 guy. But I think he'll make an impact, whether its as a nickle guy, or returner, in the coming years.
Plus, we need CB's.
