performance this season.
Do well, and Michigan has a shot.
Do poorly, and we're probably looking at another D'shawn Hand.
system was NFL-friendly enough to get Devin Smith in the 1st round
Tell me more about the future

NFL careers =/ NFL draft positions. Alabama doesn't recruit HS players with infographics of their alumni's long careers, they recruit them with their signing bonuses / contracts.
Ohio State is focused on puttting people into the league, is my point. It's all a crapshoot what individuals do and accomplish after that.
Percy Harvin was a very solid pro before getting injured, averaging about 1,200 all-purpose yards a season with the Vikings. Riley Cooper was second on the Eagles' in receiving stats in 2013 and was fourth last season in a very balanced attack. He's a legit starter.
And Hernandez being in jail is a mark against Meyer's system? He was arguably a top five tight end in the league.
Idk if I would have said Hernandez was a top 5 TE but he was definitely Urban's best offensive pro. That being said I'm definitely not forgetting to mention Hernandez's life situation and Cooper's incident if I'm negative recruiting against Urban. It's pretty clear that he develops below average pros (in his O system) and people.
All of this bickering about the quality of Urban's guys is a little moot however, since Avant is our only offensive skill player that's spent more than a cup of coffee in the league in a long time. Perry, Hart didn't last. Braylon had a pro bowl year and a disappointing rest of career (sucks being NYJ or CLE). Everyone will remember Manninghams super bowl catch but they'll forget his career as a whole. We put lineman and D players in the league but we can't exactly tout our skill guys either. Not in a while at least.

That honor probably goes to the Pouncey brothers, considering one is a 4x All-Pro, and the other is a 2x Pro-Bowler.
TEBOW!
Oh yeah...

Well I'm not sure he'll be a bust but playing his first year or so with Geno Smith certainly can't help.
Yep, talent is talent, and NFL scouts will seek it out. Georgia Tech WRs play in just about the least receiver-friendly system in college, and they keep going in Round 1

Steve Breaston anyone?
He's no Calvin Johnson, but he had a nice run and got paid pretty well for his efforts.
But this is kind of a stupid direction of a relatively interesting/relevant topic. Too bad...
Aaron Hernandez was on track to become one of the NFL's best tight ends.

Only thanks to Harbaugh.
was the number one pick in the draft. You have to give urbz credit there or we can't credit Harbaugh for Andrew Luck.
It also took Harbaugh to teach Smith how to play QB.
That being said, yes, he was Urban's best pro player on offense. I actually liken his game and usage to Naseir Upshur, should we get him. A TE on the short side but loves to block and still has plenty of athleticism. He will pin a lot of ends and then sneak past you just when you think he's only out there to block.

Hell, Demaryius Thomas went in the first round coming out of Paul Johnson's triple option attack.
You mean just like Rodriguez? That is a convenient label rival fans put on coaches like Urban Meyer and yet look how many guys he has put into the NFL.
You are dating yourself by a good five years with that "NFL friendly" crap. The league is becoming more spread-oriented and does not discriminate prospects on college systems any longer.
