I still argue the penalty should be as it is UNLESS the injured player is out longer. Then the penalty should be sit out as long as the injured player does.

Don’t see how anyone is considering either of those hits to be “dirty”. The first one, McCaffrey made a weird, late slide and the defender was kind of caught in between. The second one, he got hit low and was airborne when he got hit. Things happen fast. It’s not like they were intentionally folding players back or twisting ankles.
