Did anyone get deja vu on the big plays by OSU?

The first touchdown by Wells this past weekend reminded me of the exact same play from 2006 and 2007. Am I wrong? It just seems like every year they run the same run play, we fail to fill the hole and the next thing you know Wells is in the end zone and our D is shocked by a big play. Maybe the UFR will explain it better, but it looks like the EXACT same play every year. The pass play to Hartline looked awfully similar to the pass play they ran to Ginn two years ago too.

I think the whole game was scripted. How about the beggining being exactly the same as Northwestern from the week before. We couldn't have asked for a better start from our D and our special teams and offense decided they didn't want to help out. (yes, I am being an ass and sarcastic) Not that it mattered in the end.

I know what you mean. On those long runs, it's always seemed like we haven't even had 11 defenders in the game. Wells would get past the line of scrimmage and see absolutely no one in front of him. How do all of our LBs and safeties get completely taken out of the play?

I was hoping someone would post and tell me that. I really would like to see a breakdown of the last 3 OSU games b/c it seems like they've run the same run play at about the same position on the field and the result is always the same: Wells breaks through the line, shrugs off an arm tackle and is in the clear for a TD.

It's the same off tackle run they have always ran. Both times Beanie broke out on Saturday had a lot to do with poor safety play. If you look back at the first run for the TD, Harrison got sucked up inside that he ran into the back of his own men instead of shooting the gap and meeting Beanie head on.
