I Wore 21: The Legend of Desmond Howard - September 10, 2011 Release

Huh, I wonder why they chose that date? Note, this was already posted in a post about a month ago and thought it should have its own thread.
Looking forward to the release. But, I'm looking forward moreso to the Notre Dame - Michigan primetime game ON 9/10.
Geez ... September 10th seems so far away! GO BLUE!!!!
The title is too pretentious. When you have a Heisman, an NFL resume, and a job at ESPN, you don't really need to market yourself as a "legend." Desmond would be better off allowing the facts of his career to speak for themselves.
I agree. He should just start wearing this shirt around instead.
Given that he's going to be honored that day, I'm guessing he's doing this in conjunction with the athletic department.
9/10/11 in fact.
Between this and the Bacon book about the RR era that is also coming out in September, it looks like my reading list for the month is set.
I pre-ordered the Bacon book at Amazon. They e-mailed me a week or two back and said that the release date is pushed back to October, I think maybe the 25th… that's the one I'm really looking forward to.
I went to his web page. There's a link called "Hire Desmond". Do you think he does weddings? Roofing? Babysitting? Circumcisions? If I had enough disposable income, I would totally hire him to come over and watch some Michigan hoops (I would have suggested watching a Michigan football game, but he has another job that keeps him occupied on college football Saturdays).*
*Is this too similar to prostitution?
