Denver Post Article About Dylan McCaffrey
Pretty interesting article. Makes me even happier that we got this young man.

Some great quotes from Dylan, including this one about his travels on the recruiting trail: "I never met anyone who had anything bad to say about Michigan."
That will change, Dylan.

Is there any reason why Stanford, USC (et al) didn't offer?

I'm not even sure how those offer lists are generated. The coaches aren't allowed to say who they offered and I'll see an Alabama offer for some recruits who Alabama is obviously not interested in. You will also see 5 star recruits without offers from certain schools when clearly they could go wherever they wanted. We aren't offering Dylan Moses according to those lists for instance

So they don't mean much? I've seen 3 stars with Alabama "offers" and Rashan Gary doesn't show offers from schools like Oregon, UCLA, Texas and Oklahoma? Do you really think they didn't offer? Temple, Uconn and Army show up on his list so I think the website could make room.

I mean they probably did, I would assume so. But Michigan hasn't offered Moses, mainly becuase they feel they don't hae a legitimate shot, so maybe those schools felt the same about Gary. I really don't know.
It does happen where a kid will stop reporting offers after a certain point, usually once they're committed. I know Morris did that. But you asked how offer lists are generated so I answered.

They don't care over on 11W and created a huge thread to show it. They aren't impressed by McCaffrey because he's just another pro-style statue.
"Meh...big, statue type QBs just don't work well in college football. Peters and McCaffery are pro style pocket passers without a lot of running threat."
"I agree. I think it's hard to win in CF nowadays running a pure pro-style offense, with a QB who has no mobility. Alabama did it for awhile because they had far, far better players than everyone else. Michigan doesn't have that advantage -- nor will they."
And many more.

-22 Rushing yards in his HS career.
It's funny that Urban Meyer is moving away from dual threat QB's (Joe Burrow, Haskins) and the fans don't even know it.

If we're all honest, would MGoBlog be saying the same thing about pro-style in 2010 when the RR offense hit stride?

I assume he was hurt and not benched. Makes me wonder if he's a dual threat QB who was stuck behind a terrible OL for two years. I have a hard time believing Meyer would go away from a power running spread offense.

Still, that's only like 30 yards a game. JT Barrett averaged over 100 in HS. Tristen Wallace had 130+ yards per game. Joe Burrow and Haskins aren't much of a running threat based on HS stats at least.
