Its great to re-live the moments of great play/scheme/athleticism in ND game - event better to see it from ND fan's eyes with them realizing that they really could not have done much about it. My favorite quote:
I think people should keep in mind is that we were playing against a really good scheme and a really good athlete. That stuff is going to happen occassionally.
Ahhh... Nice!

That guy was right originally when he said Robinson was reading Te'o on the keeper. Michigan was blocking the end on that play; when they do that they're always reading a linebacker. Also you can't really blame Smith on the 87-yarder siince he has to get the kid inside of him.

Is there an advantage to reading the LB instead of the DE or is it simply just a different look? I would think that reading the LB would help to reduce the effectiveness of a scrape exchange.

they read the LB when they are going to block (and therefore can't read) the DE. it is just a different play call.

I suppose the decision on who to read has a lot to do with personnel matchups.

Oregon sometimes reads the DT. The read is always the same concept. You leave one guy unblocked and see what he does. If he goes for the RB, the QB keeps it, otherwise the RB gets it.
