I don't know if any of you have seen this but, wow.

4x100 4th leg in Red.
the kid he tracked down from about 6 yards behind happens to be a year older than Denard and also happens to be none other than the 2008 Rivals #1 Rated CB (#5 player overall) Patrick Johnson. Yes, the PJ that ran multiple 4.3X 40s at the Miami Nike Camp and the person Rivals.com voted as the second fastest player in the entire nation in 2008.

I love how he does a victory lap through the ladies.

I think I'm going to pick Denard as my favorite guy from the class of '09. I declare myself the board's resident Shoelace troll.

that is amazing. can't wait to see this kid w/ the ball in open spaces.

since he is a track guy, does that mean his 4.38 40 time is legit?

Nice. Good find!

He's like Whoa! FAST!

But DAMN, kid runs like he's got a rocket up his ass. I'm definitely excited to see what he can do in maize and blue.
Here's a link to his highlight reel on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoZiQtlTauc. His "football speed" is pretty impressive as well; he's got an ability to pick up 7 or 8 yards before you know what happened.
While his mechanics don't look the sharpest and he's making things happen more with his athleticism than good footwork and pocket presence, I'm still really impressed with the touch he puts on the ball. A lot of his throws in the highlight reel are into traffic or over a wideout's shoulder, but they're on the money.
Thanks for the vid.

Definitely looking more and more like a 2 qb system over the next couple years, like it or not.
February 7th, 2009 at 11:06 AM ^
RR and staff aren't done. It's understood that to be successful with RR's system you need at LEAST 3 QBs.
February 7th, 2009 at 11:16 AM ^
Rodriguez has said he likes to have three qb's, but that does not mean they are in rotation.
February 7th, 2009 at 11:38 AM ^
Yes. It is absolutely impossible to be successful without at least THREE quarterbacks in Rodriguez's system. Just look at West Virginia the past few years. It's obvious.

A Matrix reference! OMG! Take the red pill, Tate! Take the red pill, Denard.
Go blue!

but I think the zone read will work pretty well when he's in the backfield. I also read on either Scout or Rivals that his personal best in the 100m is 10.3. That 4.38 forty is definitely not fake.

cruise thru the booty tent. Good moves on and off the track-quite impressive.
