Dawn of a new era (besides being champions)

We have now heard and seen the last of that godawful "I wanna live forever" B1G commercial we've been subjected to for what feels like forever during football games.

It's a new day! Though I shudder to think what kind of new ad campaign our esteemed commissioner will approve.

Its not the best commercial, but not the worst. Unique graphics and song at least. And when you hear it you know what's coming. I'm actually interested in seeing 4 new schools added. Throw in the space needle, Hollywood sign, and whatever the heck is in Eugene and we can extend its life.

Yep. I personally love it - I get INSTANT good vibes anytime I see it (the song helps there).

If anything, now do the fly-over from east to west.  End it in the City of Angels.

The one with the coaches from around 2009 ("Our helmets have wings", "Come to Penn State", Bret Bielema when he was 100 pounds lighter) --- I liked that one too.

It's not my favorite, but it's certainly better than the one that features a running collage of social media posts, and the only Michigan one in the mix is a middle-aged man and his octogenarian dad. B1G really wanted to make Michigan look like a bunch of old school farts.

Being in the ad music business, I see and score a lot of ads.

That one takes the cheesecake. There's not much unity of concept, the animation is terrible, and the music has nothing whatsoever to do with the message.

And because the thing runs on cable, the composers aren't even making car wash money.

Other than that, it's just great, right?
