The D Line really misses Bryan Mone (videos of him)

After watching the D Line get pushed the last 3 weeks, it shows a huge contrast of how good Bryan Mone (6'3", 344) was at not getting pushed. It did happened. But it was rare, and only in small distances. I watched a few videos of him after work today. He nearly always got push, even on some double teams. There is no one like this on the D Line this year. I don't see why Mazi Smith can't be put in more often. He lacks experience? Sure. But it would seem better to see him in the middle of the line than Jordan Glasgow..... But I'm not a coach.

Looking back, what we had in Bryan Mone!

Here's some Bryan Mone videos.

Chuck Filiaga (6'6", 342) isn't playing a lot on the O Line. I'm wondering if he should be tried at the interior of the D Line.

No offense, but I always think it’s funny when people assume OL will make good DTs just because they are big. I’m sure our DTs we have are better options.

D line got punked on Saturday. It doesn't seem Smith and Hinton would be any worse. They must have a long way to go.

He was at Michigan for 8 years. He got a lot of D linemen into the pros.

Aubrey Solomon was not recruited by him. He was mostly ineffective. and now is gone. Don Brown was his main recruiter. Are you blaming Don Brown for him being gone? Or that guy?

James Hudson was recruited by him. Hudson was moved off the defensive line, but not by him. Hudson weighs 297. Michigan could have used him this year. But he is gone because he was moved to offensive line.

Phillip Paea was recruited by him. He was moved to offensive line, but not by him. Paea weighs 304. But now maybe he's back at defensive line. I don't know.

You can't blame that 'certain d line coach'.

I find it hard to believe that 300-plus pound Smith & Hinton can't contribute.  Add Jeter and that's 3 dudes in the middle that weigh over 300 and yet we continue to play a 270 pound converted FB.  I love Mason, but c'mon.

Watching that first video just pisses me off because damn did the defense really dominate that day besides a couple of late plays they couldn't make. Shame their effort was wasted by the refs and Michigan's offense giving the Buckeyes points.
