Absolutely.

I'm quietly going go enjoy that taking the media cycle.

Michigan fans shouldn't be bitching about it at all.

People will be rooting for Michigan because they hate the SEC.

People will be rooting for Michigan because they want Michigan to crush Bama and prove that FSU should've been in.

People will be talking about the selection and not talking about Harbaugh or the Stalions (except the Mizzou coach, but fuck that guy).

...regardless, it's good for Michigan.

sorry its just a different media view from the espn centered universe of Bama had a great end of the season when they really didnt.... and how the CFB has pretty much turned into  Big Ten Vs. SEC  and everything else doesnt matter

Don’t apologize. It’s not like the MGoblog forum is a place where only the most important topics are discussed in only the most serious manner. True, “Friday Night Drinking Thread” is incredibly discussion worthy, but others not so much. I don’t know about your critics on this one, but some seem to live to attack people who post stuff they don’t deem worthy.

Michigan didn't make the right argument. It wasn't that Bama and Texas shouldn't be in. It's that if we are breaking precedent and ignoring records then we don't need to seed the team according to records either. Nobody really believes UW is the second best team, or even the 4th best team for that matter. Bama and UT should have had to play each other again since both are getting in under questionable circumstance. Instead they get double rewarded and both will be favorites to play their rematch in the NC game. Remember UT is now a SEC team, they've played their last game as a member of the BIG12

Agreed, but for a different reason.  Bama and Texas have already played, and we have a result.  Now the committee has set them up to meet again in the National Championship game.  What if Bama wins out? Now you have them 1-1 vs each other.  Does the most recent win trump Bama's earlier loss to Texas? I realize that Texas has another loss in there, but that can't be the best situation they could come up with? A rematch?
