Some deets would be helpful in evaluating if it's worth clicking that link!

It’s not left. there ya go

Are we going to get weeks of "someone disagrees with the committee" posts?
Can they be auto deleted?
December 3rd, 2023 at 5:37 PM ^
Absolutely.
I'm quietly going go enjoy that taking the media cycle.
Michigan fans shouldn't be bitching about it at all.
People will be rooting for Michigan because they hate the SEC.
People will be rooting for Michigan because they want Michigan to crush Bama and prove that FSU should've been in.
People will be talking about the selection and not talking about Harbaugh or the Stalions (except the Mizzou coach, but fuck that guy).
...regardless, it's good for Michigan.

I didn’t watch the clip of the Missouri coach, but I got the impression that he was mocking the scandal because it ultimately wasn’t a big deal as people made it out to be.

We are America's team!

or just ignore them?

It's over and done with. Let it go.
Beat Bama!

THIS JUST IN: Committee reconvenes to give final playoff spot to FSU based on YouTube video shared on MGoBlog.

If a governing body makes a poor decision, you don't get to criticize the decision once it's made? Give them grief, hit them with questions, let them know people are not happy.

sorry its just a different media view from the espn centered universe of Bama had a great end of the season when they really didnt.... and how the CFB has pretty much turned into Big Ten Vs. SEC and everything else doesnt matter

Next time, instead of being in such a hurry to post whatever thought you think everyone wants to know, put some summary information into the OP. Nobody is going to go listen to an 1.5 hr long podcast to figure out what your important information is.
December 3rd, 2023 at 6:36 PM ^
will do... its only 45 minutes but i get your point... got a little excited after listening to it
December 3rd, 2023 at 6:43 PM ^
No, it’s not only 45 mini long. IF you listen to it backwards - you’ll find the most valuable perspectives are, in fact, provided during the “reverse mode” listen.
December 3rd, 2023 at 7:16 PM ^
The music is reversible, but time is not….turn back - turn back - turn back
Guess what song plays this when played backwards on the record?

Fire on High — ELO.

Don’t apologize. It’s not like the MGoblog forum is a place where only the most important topics are discussed in only the most serious manner. True, “Friday Night Drinking Thread” is incredibly discussion worthy, but others not so much. I don’t know about your critics on this one, but some seem to live to attack people who post stuff they don’t deem worthy.

Michigan didn't make the right argument. It wasn't that Bama and Texas shouldn't be in. It's that if we are breaking precedent and ignoring records then we don't need to seed the team according to records either. Nobody really believes UW is the second best team, or even the 4th best team for that matter. Bama and UT should have had to play each other again since both are getting in under questionable circumstance. Instead they get double rewarded and both will be favorites to play their rematch in the NC game. Remember UT is now a SEC team, they've played their last game as a member of the BIG12
December 3rd, 2023 at 7:02 PM ^
Agreed, but for a different reason. Bama and Texas have already played, and we have a result. Now the committee has set them up to meet again in the National Championship game. What if Bama wins out? Now you have them 1-1 vs each other. Does the most recent win trump Bama's earlier loss to Texas? I realize that Texas has another loss in there, but that can't be the best situation they could come up with? A rematch?

I think the good news is that this stupid FSU thing gives the dummies at ESPN something else to talk about other than "cheating"
December 3rd, 2023 at 6:46 PM ^
While I’m hopeful you are correct, my gut tells me certain ESPN / SEC talking heads won’t let certain Michigan stories go.
They are already ripping on JJ for not throwing more in recent games saying that JJ has “regressed”.
December 3rd, 2023 at 7:18 PM ^
There are people on this blog saying the same thing. It's ridiculous.
December 3rd, 2023 at 7:44 PM ^
I think he has trended downward since the three INT BG game.
December 3rd, 2023 at 7:56 PM ^
Minus the fact that he threw for 12 TDs and 0 INTs between Rugers (the game after BGSU) and the Purdue Game?
He has trended down since the Penn State game IMO - though I think thats the game he got inured or whatever.
December 3rd, 2023 at 6:47 PM ^
I wish that were true.
There's a story today on the Fox News website about the CFP selections, reference Michigan......
"Michigan, despite the sign-stealing controversy in the middle of the season, won the Big Ten Championship over Iowa, 26-0. It’s the third straight year they will be in the Playoff."
