Conelius Jones' team Advances
"Thirteenth-seeded Spartanburg, just 3-8 during the regular season, dealt fourth-seeded Rock Hill its first loss in 12 games this season in the biggest shocker of the 4A playoffs, officially announcing Cinderella’s arrival at the ball."
This was quite a surprise, folks. Glad to see the team of one of our recruits get a big win. The Rock Hill Bearcats entered ranked No. 21 nationally by USA Today. Jones had a TD run in the first half and a TD run in the second half, finishing with 19 rushes for 116 yards.

That is a surprise. I live in the Charleston area and followed his season this year. It's always great to see our recruits have a good game and lead their team.

Yes, South Carolina's points system is HUGE on strength of schedule. Better to play good teams and lose than to build up on snackycakes.

My high school had a similar run one season, but thanks to programs on probation, made it in. Haven't missed the playoffs since (~1998).

If Spartanburg does go all the way and win the playoffs with that 3-8 record, then there's hope for Michigan!

... is win one more game to get a .500 record and get hot in the playoffs. That's the beauty of college football!

Reminds me of Inkster beating Steubenville. Serious character-testing wins for our quarterback recruits this year. Looks like we may have some real fighters in the 2010 class.
From Spartanburg coach Freddie Brown:
“This is what life is about, and we’re teaching them life’s lessons. You just keep fighting, and things will turn at some point.”
