Comments from a future and current Wolverine
[Zoltan the Omnipotent:]
"I was actually joking around with Brett Swenson from Michigan State," Mesko said. "We'll let the southern guys with the nice weather win the awards. We'll just kick in the NFL."
Are kickers thicker than water? I guess when your all powerful, joking around with the enemy is acceptable. As for his actual quote, is there a larger success rate for kickers that come from northern schools seeing that in the NFL you will be kicking in cold weather?
[Tony Drake:]
Dallas Skyline athlete Tony Drake said last week. "I do a lot of checking up on Michigan. I go through the websites and look at stuff, so it's 100% right now."
Hello Mr. Drake, thank you for visiting.
huh, I guess... depends if you play in San Diego or Green Bay.
Welcome.
Or anywhere in the north. Ya know about half of the teams are in cold weather. So yes anyone that wants to play in the NFL better get used to the cold.
Ehh, they have domes.
Green Bay
New England
Pittsburgh
Buffalo
Philly
Is that sufficient or would you like more?
Chicago!
Seattle (not as bad, but can be)
Cleveland
Minnesota is considering building an outdoor stadium as well.
Those are enough teams to where playing in the cold is important. Especially because a lot of those teams make the playoffs often, so you might be playing there in December and January.
If you look at this site, Mr. Drake, please make an account and give us inside information. If you do, I will make my avatar a picture of you. And give you a dollar.
booster.
try to avoid making MGoBlog a potential NCAA / recruiting violations.
Thank you I was just thinking the same thing. I hope he was being semi-serious and not completely. It made me think of the "Pryor Block Party" on facebook that got shut down for that same reason.
I wasn't being serious. It would be sweet if players came on here though.
Mr. Drake. We'll be cheering for you!
I'm actually very excited to see "Mr. Drake" get on campus. I guess I could say that about most, if not all, of our commits. Anyways, I hope he kicks some ass this year in his senior season and continues that at M.
