I feel like any apology from Herbstreit at this point is going to be seen as insincere, and it very well might be that anyway. He schleps the Ohio State line in various ways, some more egregious than others, but it is at the core of who he is.
December 5th, 2020 at 9:38 AM ^
I think he owes a public broadcast apology to Harbaugh and Warde for essentially accusing them of:
- Lying about their program's COVID status for non-COVID reasons,
- Trying to duck a game against Ohio State out of fear,
- Trying to tamper with the Big Ten Championship protocols off the field.
That is shameful, and can't just be brushed aside like he never said it.
He needs to apologize, and he needs to do it in the same type of forum he said it in the first place: on a national broadcast like ESPN College Game Day.
December 5th, 2020 at 10:24 AM ^
To be clear, I do agree that he should because of what he did essentially accuse the program of doing, but I very much doubt ESPN will coerce him into it, and I don't foresee him offering one of his own accord either. That brings me to what I said above - I feel like it would be seen as insincere, and it probably would be anyway.

Seems like a waste of time at this point.

He already apologized. It’s over. Who cares.

F Herbie. Better start would for Des to beat the shit out of him.

Wolverines can be taught to rescue avalanche survivors. https://www.reddit.com/r/Awwducational/comments/k2mqw6/wolverines_can_be_taught_to_rescue_avalanche/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

Great. Frist they will rescue you, then they will eat you.
They sure are beautiful animals though.

Avatar definitely checking out. Selfie, much? Still convinced we have a resident wolverine at the farm, on the wild side.

I'm considered quite handsome in the Wolverine (and Dog) world.
Take pictures if you see an actual wolverine on your farm, that would be epic.

I had one of the other mgo bloggers post pictures of the tracks that I found earlier this year. I had seen him or her live last fall, and found tracks a couple of times. The second time I came across the tracks I took pictures of them. If I knew how to do it, I wouldn’t embed those pictures again, but I am Fred Flintstone.

I mean, this is true of all Wolverines TBH.. HA!
December 5th, 2020 at 10:21 AM ^
Why would this be a surprise? It is proven that Wolverines are great skiers, so the step to rescuers isn't a big leap.
December 5th, 2020 at 11:36 AM ^
Except for the teaching them not to tear off your limbs part. That could take some work, and some trial and, um, error.
December 5th, 2020 at 10:22 AM ^
I'm not watching this morning. So, as it's now 10:22 AM, I'm guessing that Herbstreit hasn't said anything. I'm not surprised by that. Pieces of shit will continue to be pieces of shit...

Watching game day. They said that tOSU had 23 players out with positives and contact tracing. Not sure how that doesn’t meet the 5% threshold but whatever. Interesting how Herbstreit asked Day if he was going to be watching the game with his whole family when one would think he might be finishing his quarantine.
December 5th, 2020 at 11:28 AM ^
Michigan had what was reported to be 12 that either had it or were out due to contact tracing , and they arent playing .
OSU has 23 out and they are playing .
Draw your own conclusions .
December 5th, 2020 at 11:40 AM ^
Everybody is afraid that Michigan will pretend their players have COVID.
Everybody is afraid that Ohio State will pretend their players don't.

I know many of you are butt hurt over the comments Herbie made, I didn’t take it as bad as some, but each their own. Not worth future discussion to me. With that said, anyone hear is comments on Matt Campbell? I thought they were good. Herbie knows football as much as some on here don’t like him. Basically said programs should look at what Matt Campbell is doing at isu. With the college landscape changing with opt outs, recruits coming any going, transfer rules changing with guys having less patience maybe to wait their turn, about having a place centered on “culture”. Herbie said one recruiting class can’t make or break that culture style in this day in age of college football.
I agree. GO GET MATT CAMPBELL. We got one chance, don’t let this be the time to blow it.
FYI, saw rumor that if Urbs says no to Texas, Cristobol and Franklin lol are leading guys. Who knows if true, interesting Campbell wasn’t a name though.

Its psychological. He knows OSU needs to play that game in order to get in enough games for the B10 Championship game .
Its a way to insure Michigan will do everything they can to play . Its challenging Michigan to prove they want to play that game . Thats what he is doing .
December 5th, 2020 at 11:45 AM ^
I didn’t see Herbie‘s comments, only the apology, but I will say that the apology seemed pretty sincere. Also, putting the inflammatory comments aside, in all other aspects I think herb street to be about as levelheaded about the rivalry as one can be. I give him great credit in that regard.

Once you've had enough of seeing how Ryan Day will hang a 100 on li'l brother from his secret location isolation tent behind the OSU sideline, you can check out the BB game between #1 and #2 Baylor at 1pm.
It should be the best sporting event of the day.
December 5th, 2020 at 12:22 PM ^
Except it just got cancelled.

I must be so jaded by 2020/this Michigan football season. My reaction to Herbie's initial comments was "meh," and my reaction to his apology was also "meh."
I just cannot bring myself to care in the slightest. Is it just me?

This OSU-MSU game doesn't bode well.
