College Game Day Lives!

As lame as it can be at times, I missed it already.

It makes today feel like a regular football Saturday, and that's a great thing.

Paul, the Douche, already went after the players sitting out and said this is going to be Jim’s toughest loss to end the season (paraphrased). I hate Paul, the SEC, and ESPN.

This sparks an interesting question for fringe 2-3 round picks or later. How does sitting out potentially impact $ (draft pick) if your replacement does as good, if not better, than you did. Does that simply let scouts/teams believe you were only good based on the friendly environment  you played in (ie a running back with great run-blocking). Very speculative, but I could see excessive sitting out potentially impact these types of players who could really use a final performance against a quality opponent.

Maybe should just start picking the games they want to play in...tough d matchup this week coach don’t think my stats will be good for NFL evaluators so I’m  going to sit...ok Leveon Bell...should only sit if hurt otherwise play with the rest of your teammates owe them not the fans.

Not Game Day-related but posting it anyhow:

"The two LSU players involved in an attempted armed robbery that left one man dead are available to play in the Fiesta Bowl, coach Ed Orgeron said Thursday.

Sophomore running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire and freshman linebacker Jared Small both made the trip to Arizona just days after their attempt to sell an electronic item to a man turned into an attempted armed robbery Saturday. The man pulled a gun on the players and demanded their items when one of the players pulled out a gun and shot the man, who died at the scene.

Baton Rouge police on Sunday said the players acted in self-defense. The shooting, however, remains under investigation, a police spokesperson said."

Huh?  It has been broadly covered by the media. This occurred around a week ago and I read multiple news articles about it. When the district attorney says the shooting appears justified and the players are the ones that called 911 and waited for the police to show up, what more do you want them to do?

First line of the guys statement noted his intention about being political some people think if law abiding citizens give up guns so will criminals...great logic...people need to realize that while not everyone will hurt them there are people out there that intend to do harm, don’t be a victim.

Prostitute integrity. Testicular fortitude. ESPN probably going to catch some flack for some of the phrases on this morning’s show. Sigh.
