I have only taken an elementary school aged grandson to a basketball clinic-he enjoyed it but it was otherwise useless. How old are your grandchildren and what is their interest level?

The two I wanted to take have both played football since they were little guys. One is currently in 7th grade and one is a sophomore in high school. Both were VERY excited about the chance to go. I wrote to Christina DeRuyter and she replied back saying it was intended for coaches only and she asked where myself and grandsons coached. 🥴 When they said, “Coaches Clinic” I thought they meant the UM coaches as the tentative schedule showed each of M coaches taking a part of the schedule.

Does coaching rocket football count? 🙂

My son attended the U of M football camp as a high schooler.  He really loved it and learned.

For baseball folks my son always attended the Mark Avery baseball camps in the Winter.  These were super for baseball players of all ages.

I know this is about coaching football, but i used to go to the M hockey camps every summer from 89-91 but that was just to have the opportunity to hang out in the dorms and skate with Red Berenson and a number of (then) current players.

As a goalie, I had a blast with Steve Shields on the ice, though off the ice Tim Keough was great. Took the goalies to get shakes at Pizza Bobs. Brian Wiseman was so fast with his stick I got motion sick trying to keep my eyes on the puck. Stone brothers, Denny Felsner, Aaron Ward, Cam Stewart ... it was so cool as a 10 year old.
