This is absolutely pure speculation on my part, but I would assume Peters is trying to graduate ASAP in order to grad transfer. He already RS, so he can't leave and sit out a year w/o losing eligibility. I wouldn't be surprised if he's not participating this spring in order to focus on academics and get that degree in the near future.

He’ll practice with the team in the spring at least. Why not work around and with a lot of talented players? If he then decides to leave he’ll have 2 years of immediate eligibility. Too bad it didn’t work out here, he still has a lot of talent to be real good.

Other notes:

- Ben Mason playing FB in short yardage only. Will play Dline along with Tight end.

- BVS to Running back

- Barrett to Viper

- Turner has surged

- Gattis has the keys, meaning he will be calling plays and gameplanning. Expect less huddle and more tempo

That should be clear to everyone, despite the fancy stats saying that Michigan's offense was good last year. With a talented coach, our offense last year had the personal to crush the shit out of everyone we played.

We go to the playoffs with Joe Moorhead as our OC last year.

There's really only two or three notes anyone can sound here:

1. "Gattis dr*mph keys?"

2 a. If angr:

"Nope! [Add b*tching sound of choice.]

2 b. If hopeful:

"Maybeee!" [Add speculation that Jim really gets it.]

[Possible adds:

3 a. If angr at people not angr:

"Do you not see. . ." [use "shitshow" somewhere in post].

3 b. If angr at people who r angr:

"Just finally chill, m*fer! The cavalry is coming!"

This one-act play is expected to continue its record-breaking off-Broadway run through August 31 of this year.

Yup, although I think Shea started out as an H-back and then turned into more of a fullback. It's a pretty standard way to use shorter TEs and taller FBs. I wouldn't be surprised if Nick Patterson is going to be the next H-back.

Isaiah HoleWolverinesWire Staff 1h:

"Right now Shea, Dylan, Joe are all getting equal reps. They're all looking good. It's a really good, talented quarterback room." Says Brandon Peters and Cade McNamara and Mike Sessa are in the mix. Shea's No. 1, Dylan 2, Joe, 3. "There's no way Shea will be able to put his feet up."

Not really a surprise. Peters will graduate in May and grad transfer will two years of eligibility left. I would imagine he finds a place with a favorable depth chart and probably start for two years. As for competition I would hope it’s open like all positions but can’t imagine Shea not starting next season with Dylan having him up and hopefully getting some meaningful snaps as he prepares to take over in 2020

Not saying you're wrong, but I can say for a fact DM thinks he can win the job and so do a few of the coaches. Next year's QB class is nuts, so I think SP has to have a great year, and DM should lead the team in 2020.  However, don't be surprised if SP leaves the door cracked open, DM busting it wide open.

Cheers

Also, they are looking at Steuber and Mayfield at RT.

Harbaugh actually gave a lot of info in this presser.

No disrespect to Peters whatsoever, but the writing has really been on the wall on this for a while. Patterson's played well, and McCaffery has looked great in the time he was given as a backup. Shea has got the starting job on lockdown for 2019 barring injury, and McCaffery is almost certainly the heir apparent for 2020 as a RS Junior.

That doesn't leave much room for Peters.

My guess is he'll graduate this spring and then transfer somewhere with a relatively empty depth chart. He's got a lot of talent so he's definitely able to start at a D-1 school somewhere.

It makes sense for Peters to leave.   He was passed by DM who looks like he is going to be the real deal.  The QB room is talented.

I think Peters has the ability to be a very good QB.  He had very little (if any) real chance to show us what he can do.  I hope he finds a place and has a nice finish to his career.   Just not at our expense.

I hinted at these moves a while back,  sounds as if they have a few running back packages.  The speed group, which consists of  Turner and Wilson.  Then the power group that is BVS and Hassan Haskins. I’m hearing that ZC has has ACL or MCL surgery so I don’t expect much this spring.  Mason will only be used in goal line, he will be a H Back/Tight end I’m assuming as a blocker.

I’m interested to see Mason at D line.

My understanding is that JH has handed the offense to Gattis so we will see how this goes.
