Coach Duggs and the Vols to take on Michigan today

Submitted by SpazCarpenter on June 10th, 2020 at 8:11 AM

For those who dont know, Pardon My Take has done some pretty cool things while sports are dead, including a D&D campaign and interviewing some people unrelated to sports. For example, Eric Roth the screenplay writer for Forrest Gump. Big Cat, as Coach Duggs has been playing NCAA 14 and streaming his games via Twitch. (His moves are weak, TBH, but entertaining)

Coach Duggs in his 2nd season with the Tennessee Vols are set to be play the Wolverines today.

After losing the natty to VT last season, (few days ago) Coach D has had a rough 2-2 start to this season.

The way Big Cat has been playing defense gives me anxiety watching the stream. Play as a LB, not a DE, stop running zone the whole time, and for heaven's sake hot route someone as a QB Spy.

I'm analyzing a 35 year old man playing a 7 year old video game, cheers to 2020.

DE isn’t a bad user if you are not great at the game. Especially if you have a fast DE, you can slide him a few yards outside the tackle and run right past him pretty often.
The other thing that works for me is you grab the DE and run him to the other side and have him take the block of the opposite tackle. This very often frees up the other DE for an easy sack.

I haven't been watching the streams but see the social media posts. When he won the SEC championship last year, I legit thought that the next game was the playoff. I completely forgot that the game still has the BCS, not CFP.

I would love to see the D&D campaign.  I am aware of these guys, have seen them on twitter, have never watched/listened to the show.  Is it a podcast?  And is it broken up into segments where I can see just that episode?  I know I can google but it sounds like you probably know the answer right off

Pardon My Take is the podcast, I believe the #1 sports podcast and close to the top of all podcasts. It started as a send-up of sports talk radio and internet message board commentary, so it's usually pretty silly, but still occasionally smart and serious. Each episode is usually about 90 minutes, 2-3 interviews/segments.

In mid-March, Dr. Fauci was a guest and helped get the word out on COVID-19 response and mitigation. He/the CDC identified that PMT was high-impact in talking directly to people who might not watch or follow what they heard through more traditional media channels. And I thought that they handled it pretty well.

How the hell do you even lose in NCAA 14?

You just get a quick DE and stunt up the middle. Those dudes would have like 60 sacks a year.

What difficulty level is he playing on? The Heisman level can be tough. Anything less than that and an undefeated season every year should be the expectation.

You may be surprised, but Ace is upset that our athletics comm department posted on twitter about this matchup. Apparently, Barstool and our comm department are both very bad because they are not diverse enough for Ace's liking. I guess you are only able to possibly have fun if you meet the strict criteria of an all white male blog. Barstool is actually pretty diverse now and our comm dept has female employees. This seems like it could be fun and is an OK thing to promote even if you do not like Portnoy's schtick. Not saying both are perfect, but they are a hell of a lot more diverse than the people who work for this blog.
