Charlie and Meryl to compete on DWTS
Sorry if already posted... I looked but didn't see it.
After deciding not to return to defend their world title, our favorite Olympic ice dancing champs will square off against one another on Dancing with the Stars. I've not really ever watched this show much, but I will now. Good luck to both of them!

Go team!
Being elite athletes that have to "dance" as part of their training, I don't see how the other contestants could even come close. Will be fun to see how they compete AGAINST each other in the finals. I may even watch along with all the senior citizens.
Right? Oh.. what are you guys famous for?
Dancing, with knives strapped to our feet, on a sheet of ice
...but I'm not a big fan of DWTS. If you want the real thing, Argentine Tango is the way to go.
And here's my friend and former instructor showing how it's done.
they're really tall.
I see you Tacopants. I see you.
Look out thisisme08
It's a commitment. Before you're allowed to learn tango, all your bones are broken and given extensions. After that, potential dancers have to re-learn how to walk, but are only allowed to walk on the balls of their feet and, for the first 3 years, backwards. Thereafter, the men can walk forwards, but must hold a blow-up doll at all times.
We should seriously consider recruiting Buenos Aires for WRs, they could really dance through defenders.
I could point you to all kinds of videos of competitive ballroom/latin dancers showing you "how it's done." Why hate? They're all art forms that are meant to be enjoyed, but inevitably won't be enjoyed by everybody.
Just DWTS isn't my cup of tea. Too choreographed for my taste.
I happen to love a number of styles of dance, particularly latin (salsa, bachata, cumbia, etc.). But ballroom, to me, doesn't have the passion or artistry that comes with improvising on the spot. I would say the same about choreographed tango, btw. Ballroom tango feels like a spin-off of something more authentic.
For those who enjoy ballroom, however, great for you. Keep doing it, and ignore me.
the same as for those of this website ; ) I believe DWTS has the second oldest age goup following of ANY show on TV. Based on my parent's obsession with this program I believe it.
It would be cooler if Charlie and Meryl were on True Detective, but I'll still be watching nonetheless.
Maybe we can work a spot for them on Hells Kitchen.
If it was all bachata, all the time, you'd quickly find the demographics shifting to 15-25 y.o. males. That shit is pure sex on a dance floor.
Now that I mention it, anyone looking for a new concept for a TV show?
those stilleto heels. . . I'd be three left feet.
Winnie Cooper from The Wonder Years is on it and she looks really good!
Charlie Weis & Meryl Streep? wow that is a combo for the stars.
