Must have worked out with Barwis over the summer.
...talks about how UConn hasn't been in contact and how they're out. (HT: UMHoops)
watching him make plays on MNF. That tackle was incredible. Saved a touchdown.
Defensive player of the year.
Owns a vineyard.
His one-handed INT against Sparty is on my wall about 10 feet away.
He donates millions to Mott.
Woodson is and will always be the best.
"He has no idea Charles Woodson can jump fifteen feet in the air..."
... you can watch football a long long time without seeing another play like that."
I still haven't.
I'm starting to doubt that we ever will.

the Original Deathbacker:
So the Packers are known for the legendary free-agency acquisition of Reggie White, and Woodson is looking more and more like he may fall right into the same category.
Also, Dom Capers deserves all the credit in the world. Two weeks ago, he lost two of the best players on his squad (Harris and Barnett), and the guys he has left are still playing lights-out football.
Dom Capers has taken hold of the defense and made it a ton better with only 1 draft to fill in the holes. Now if only GB could figure out a way to go out in FA and get a OLmen and bring in Graham at the OLB spot opposite Matthews.........
And it was Kampman out, not Barnett.
PS. and a nickelback not named Jarett Bush.
My mistake. Obviously I was too high on the victory to check my facts.
Also: what I said about Woodson aside, you want TT to go out and make good FA signings? Me too, but I think it's a pipe dream. The guy is a draft genius, I'll give him that, but I wish he'd rethink his policy on FA signings a little bit. We're perpetually the youngest team in the NFL, which isn't always a good thing.
I know. He likes to build through the draft and only goes out in FA once in a blue moon. Maybe he'll start going out and signing some FAs now because I had a heart attack when TT drafted the area of biggest need, Raji and traded one of his 3809659 2nd day picks to move up and grab Matthews. Man, TT sure does love his 2nd day picks........
I was really worried that Raji would turn out to be a bust like Justin Harrell, seeing as he didn't really show up much in the first few games. But now I like what I see. And Clay Matthews is something else.
Speaking of players I have been impressed with this season, I didn't see Chillar at all tonight. I know he was probable, but I thought he would play more.
Also, on a final note, as much as I like Raji, watching his brother kill U-M at basketball last week was really no fun at all.
flew in from left field. Did not see TT drafting him that high. I REALLY liked Raji and was praying that TT didn't piss away the draft by using his best player available strategy and taking Crabtree. And I agree on Matthews, he's done everything you can expect of a rookie. Jones looked decent tonight at OLB, Chillars kind of a one trick pony (Covering backs/TEs).
he's still nursing a hand injury...almost 100% and has mainly been playing special teams due to the solid all around play of Jones
just to repeat everyone else's sentiments, if Woodson doesn't receieve defensive player of the year, it's a tragedy....
almost makes me forget that they blew it in the '89 draft taking Tony Mandarich over Barry Sanders.
When your team is winning, be ready to be tough, because winning can make you soft. On the other hand, when your team is losing, stick by them. Keep believing.
Easy on the 'homo' stuff.
(But don't get me wrong... if I were a gay man, I'd be all over that like Charlie Weis on complex carbohydrates)
C Wood getting his props. He deserved the Pro Bowl last year and was snubbed. Love the MVP talk, a perfect tackler and cover corner!
Hail To The Victors!
GO PACK BABY! Were so damn close! Just need to destroy da Bears this Sunday!
Stuck in Columbus.
Does anybody have video of this thread starting tackle by Woodson? I missed the game :(
Video.
I routinely +1 myself in memory of em0, may he RIP

Michigan fans are positively spoiled with the sheer number of fantastic former players we've been able to continue to follow in the NFL. C-Woods has always been at the top of that list for me.
Crossing my fingers for Hart to catch a break soon, too.
"Do not disturb my circles."
amazing. The amount of athleticism it took to make that play was just nuts.
What the Hell. -Jack Burton
simple carbohydrates. i doubt charlie eats much whole wheat pasta or brown rice..
Last night Jon Gruden (who coached Woodson in Oakland) said that Woodson has a photographic memory. Now, this could have been announcer hyperbole, but if it's true, how awesome is that? And how is it that yesterday was the first time I ever heard that fact about Mr. Woodson?

That was a huge tackle by Woodson last night. I sure do miss him in our secondary. Those were the days.
Class of '02 and still "All In".
I miss having a player on our team that no matter who we played, I knew we had the best player on the field. I miss having that one guy who can dominate a game by himself. Charles come back, you can blame it all on me
I've been called the songbird of my generation, by those who have heard me. THAT GOOD
That's so awesome. I love how he slaps the helmet of that one would-be tackler. Har.
That tackle at the goal line was amazing. wow.
