Charity Bowl, 2024 - The Michigan Money Cannon

so longtime mgoblog friend spencer hall, of the late, great everydayshouldbesaturday.com blog, has for many years run an annual "charity bowl" to benefit new american pathways, an atlanta nonprofit that helps fund refugee relocation.  it's a really good cause.

the football connection is that every donation to the charity bowl is designated for the college football team of your choice, and given our own fanbase's general love of money cannons, we win it every year.  it's usually not close.

(apologies to those of you who know all this already...i get the feeling that we've got some new folks in these here parts, still basking in the afterglow)

anyhoo.  apparently, according to this week's entirely delightful shutdown fullcast, some michigan fans have decided to make bonus donations, just because.  i just made my own $34.13 donation - if you're feeling generous, maybe we can fire up a mini-cannon.

if not, that's cool, too.  go blue anyway!

donate, and find out more, here:  https://newamericanpathways.org/

Entirely delightful, yes, but took a little too much time, in my opinon, on Connor (not Stalions) stuck in a vase.  They will get money from my wife and I as always.

When the real thing comes up, my suggested Michigan donation will be 148.81, which is the combined scores of Maryland, OSU, Iowa, Alabama, and Washington.

($539.56 would be the 538-156 season scoring margin if one wanted to do so.)

I think when April rolls around, Michigan can be the first school to clear seven figures on its own, which is hilarious for a charity drive that could have been won with small four figures just a decade ago.
