Chad Pennington to the Dolphins

That's a little disappointing from the standpoint of getting to see Henne play. That puts Henne at first backup at best for the next two years. Unless Pennington gets injured, which is very plausible.
I don't understand why anyone wants Pennington anymore. He has had several surgeries on his throwing shoulder and his passes take years to reach their target. No one will respect the Dolphins passing game with Pennington under center. The Dolphins are rebuilding, so I would think it would best to start the younger QBs (Beck or Henne) and let them develop until the team is rebuilt over next few years. Puzzling decision by Parcells here.
is that the Dolphins are gonna just use Pennington to take the hits while the young o-line gels, then when the time is right bring in the young qbs.
After what happened with Couch and Carr it seems like teams are really hesitant to put a young qb out their too soon.

.. that you are right. Pennigton has never done anything. I would start Cleo Lemon over him.
As a Phins fan I actually like this move as a temporary solution. They now have a solid OL, 2 running backs with Pro Bowl calibur skills, and a QB who has won in the past and has done so without major weapons as a Jet. With a solid performance from the D, Miami could surprise some people...
As someone who is not a Dolphin's fan, I don't care if Pennington is a better choice. I want to see Henne play.
