Notes: I looks like Cabana and others are redshirting, rumor is Hibner is redshirting and planning to transfer after the season (when the portal opens), word is that the plan for Rolder is to play in 4 regular season games and get his redshirt (and then play in the CFP because they don't count towards your 4)...his first game was against MSU. It looks like other "non-true freshman" are on the 4 game + CFP plan as well.

Are we sure Warren is still #3?
October 22nd, 2023 at 11:34 PM ^
Denegal is definitely third string.
October 23rd, 2023 at 5:09 AM ^
Yeah there’s multiple games now where Denegal made the travel roster and has been the 3rd QB in while Davis made no appearance. So we’re either seeing Denegal as QB3, Davis has an injury that isn’t being disclosed on the injury report, or it’s a disciplinary issue. I haven’t paid attention to whether he’s been on the field warming up at home games or not.
October 23rd, 2023 at 9:19 AM ^
Yep...they said on the broadcast (could be wrong of course) that every player on the travel roster played, and if Warren did not, he is not 3rd string
So like said by others..he has been passed, injured or ?
October 23rd, 2023 at 10:49 AM ^
They did say that every player played... But I think they said that BEFORE Orji got in at QB. Is Orji playing special teams?
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:36 AM ^
I think you are right they did..maybe missed out on an Orji..I don't think there are Orji's on special teams though even though JH brought it up earlier
October 22nd, 2023 at 11:36 PM ^
Denegal is easily 3rd string at this point
EDIT: What they ^^^ said..
October 23rd, 2023 at 9:56 AM ^
...and honestly, if McCarthy went down tomorrow, I would like Denegal to be given as much a chance as any other backup. MSU is another case where he performed perfectly, hitting both passes which unfortunate for him were called for plays short of the first down marker. There is a legitimate argument that he has been the second best quarterback this year.
October 23rd, 2023 at 4:59 PM ^
There is a legitimate argument that he has been the second best quarterback this year.
I’m curious what that argument would be. Both Tuttle and Denegal have been extremely accurate (15/17 for Tuttle, 4/5 for Denegal) but Tuttle is the more mobile of the two.
October 22nd, 2023 at 11:37 PM ^
The 2024 defense has the potential to be like the 2021 Georgia defense. I'm pretty sure they return most everyone on that side of the ball and they already give up 5 points per game this year.
October 22nd, 2023 at 11:47 PM ^
McGregor, Jenkins, Goode, Barrett, Sain, Wallace, QuinJo, Harell, Harris...
We are losing a lot. But we return a ton, most of our playmakers.
List is off the top of the dome regarding eligibility.
October 23rd, 2023 at 12:20 AM ^
I think Harrell could potentially come back if he uses his COVID shirt. Will Johnson and Mason Graham are two future first rounders coming back and that is a good place to start.
October 23rd, 2023 at 12:29 AM ^
Totally. Johnson, Graham, Grant will be back. Guys like Guy(lol,) Harrell, I was iffy on. Colson should probably stay, but the NFL drafts on potential, and he seems like the kind of man to send his entire signing bonus back home.
October 23rd, 2023 at 7:51 AM ^
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Every offense they have played is garbage. Let’s wait until they play Penn State before we… oh wait…
October 22nd, 2023 at 11:42 PM ^
Where is Darius Clemons? He made a good catch at Nebraska then hasn't got a snap the last three weeks.
October 23rd, 2023 at 12:00 AM ^
Is spring game phenom Peyton O'Leary injured? I haven't seen him play a single regular season snap.
And what about Nikhai Hill-Green? That name has become a distant memory.
October 23rd, 2023 at 12:09 AM ^
Nikhai Hill-Green transferred to Charlotte after the Spring Semester.
October 23rd, 2023 at 12:11 AM ^
O'Leary has a TD on the year.
October 23rd, 2023 at 12:13 AM ^
O'Leary literally caught a TD against Nebraska
NHG transferred out of the program in the spring and plays at Charlotte with Eyabi Okie for Biff Poggi, who both also left UM in the spring in case you were wondering where they were.
October 23rd, 2023 at 12:18 AM ^
I'm pretty sure he got in. I seem to recall him catching a pass and people congratulating him.
October 23rd, 2023 at 12:46 AM ^
Are you McFarlin or k06em01?
Just curious
October 23rd, 2023 at 2:25 AM ^
I’m loving Semaj Morgan so far. Kid is going to be a star
October 23rd, 2023 at 7:32 AM ^
Agreed, he seems to have an incredible combination of strength and balance for his size, seems like a future baller.
October 23rd, 2023 at 10:54 AM ^
Kid is gonna be good. Was on the receiving end of some bad blocking on a few screens against MSU, but looked great besides that
October 23rd, 2023 at 3:22 AM ^
Waller and Walker got some snaps early in the game yesterday. It seems they are ahead of McBurrows at CB
October 23rd, 2023 at 5:21 AM ^
Harbaugh said in post-game interviews that McBurrows is nickel #2 behind Mike. That's where he's been showing up in games for several weeks now, including non-garbage time when they move Mike outside to corner or give him a breather.
October 23rd, 2023 at 7:33 AM ^
He's a nickel, different position....and he played quite well, actually.
October 23rd, 2023 at 7:23 AM ^
Peyton O’Leary needs to transfer. He’s a player and he’s obviously never going to see the field at Michigan.
October 23rd, 2023 at 7:36 AM ^
Next year we lose C. Johnson and probably Wilson, so there will be openings at WR. Clemons, Moore and English will compete for starting spots, and O'Leary will likely be in the mix.
October 23rd, 2023 at 8:14 AM ^
Now that you mentioned next year who do you folks think will be the starting QB,assuming JJ moves on to NFL?
October 23rd, 2023 at 8:43 AM ^
Riley Leonard, the QB at Duke
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:18 AM ^
A transfer from somewhere.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:18 AM ^
Why would he stay to be “in the mix” for a backup role? Would you? He’s coming up on his last chance to get on the field somewhere.
October 23rd, 2023 at 8:48 AM ^
I see a lot of getting late early on here. O line guys I don't worry about, but I wonder if they have half a dozen spots yet for recruiting based on down-transfer expectations.
I know some guys take a while to develop, but usually you see them play here and there.
October 23rd, 2023 at 9:39 AM ^
Getting late early? Where? Every single member of the travel roster played on Saturday. Not everyone can be a starter on a national championship caliber team, but the depth have been getting tons of snaps this year.
October 23rd, 2023 at 10:18 AM ^
Which is my point. Shouldn't be hard to pick out 6 guys on this list who didn't even travel who aren't freshman-sophomores.
I'm not about to call guys out who are probably busting their ass more than I have ever done so in my life on a message board. Exercise that brain matter.
October 23rd, 2023 at 9:06 AM ^
This year has been an odd one for me when thinking about all the studs we have on our roster and thinking back and having gaps of time where it seems we haven't heard a lot about specific players. Through the first several games, I barely even noticed Barrett, Wallace, and even Jenkins. I know depth and all, but it is amazing how many play makers we have on defense. Then we will have games where these guys and others shine, and my thought is there's Barrett or there's Jenkins or I think this Wallace guy is going to be just fine. My theory is each team comes into a game with a gameplan where they have scouted certain players or position groups and make the decision that they are not going to allow that individual or individuals beat them. So naturally what happens with this team is our other playmakers dominate. The next game a different gameplan is initiated that allows another group of playmakers to dominate because this particular team has decided their individual or individuals that they are not going to allow to beat them. This creates games where we don't even hear about Johnson, Harrell, McGreggor, Wallace, Barrett and the list could go on. I am not sure I have made any sense above, but has anyone else thought this where you just haven't heard one of our defensive players names mentioned much for a game or more stretch? This has brought so much parity to our team and I hope is just setting us up to out play the final four teams by winning in the trenches due to the amount of rest all of our players have had. Go Blue!
October 23rd, 2023 at 9:42 AM ^
If someone with Jyaire Hill's profile and accolades is truly 6th on the depth chart at CB (and maybe he really is), that makes me rather optimistic about Michigan's future at CB.
And speaking of the future, I have to wonder if every analyst's take so far on Harbaugh's likely response to NCAA fuckery could potentially be ass backwards. It wouldn't surprise me if somebody like Harbaugh decided to dig in his heels and stay -- and see if he can outlast the bastards.
October 23rd, 2023 at 9:45 AM ^
Is it good or bad that DJ Waller has gotten so much run so far? He seemed like a flyer to most people in this class and has already burned his redshirt. I haven't really paid much attention to him when he's in, but it seems like he could be playable even next year maybe?
October 23rd, 2023 at 9:46 AM ^
Good. Unquestionably good.
October 23rd, 2023 at 11:05 AM ^
Several really really good position groups on the team: DL, RB, OL but my gosh what Barner, Loveland and Bredeson are doing it would be hard not to argue the TE isn't the most productive position group on the team. Solid blocking and two massive targets down the field such an outlet for a QB who loves to get off schedule and free wheel it!
