RR has every right to put Gardner at #2. He is the one who sees these guys practice, not us. RR also mentioned that Gardner is too talented to redshirt. Tressel started Pryor ahead of a senior with an accurate arm when Pryor was a true freshman. Paterno has true freshman Bolden starting over two sophomores. Things happen. When a coach has a super talent who already has the size, sometimes it's best not to let him rot on the bench.

this is the first time I've been openly critical about an RR decision. I can understand why he did it and he has every right to make the decisions that he believes are best to win games...but I also believe that he has now just raised the expectations in terms of performance. I think burning DGs redshirt means he needs to pile up a good number of wins starting....now.
