Submitted by BlueCube on

I noticed 247Sports has a live feed of the Elite Eleven comptetion which includes Brandon Peters. I thought some might be interested.

"I thought some might be interested"

Hmmm....that's a pretty big assumption. Not sure why you'd think anyone here would be interested in this. /s

Quotes from Simmons:

"Really like Brandon Peters early on. He's just really smooth. Nothing choppy with him. Just kind of glides around these drills and has been really accurate."

"They're getting a water break right now. Halfway through the first work out there are five guys that jump out at me."

Messiah DeWeaver just earned an invitation to the finals. It will be interesting to face him for the next few years.

I'll take a Harbaugh-picked QB every day of the week, but facing a former commit always creates questions.

is apparently impressing.  I think I just heard Trent Dilfer say that with the way he played this morning, that he received an invite to the Elite 11 Finals.

I trust Harbaugh.

What makes me laugh is how much more impressive the staff is at harbaughs qb camp than this highly publicized one that Dilfer is putting on.

Congrats to Jett Duffey on being selected. He's not the biggest (maybe 5'11" 180) or most athletic QB, but he very rarely makes mistakes and he's got enough athleticism to make plays when the pocket breaks down. He took a team that won one game his sophomore year to winning two playoff games this past year (the school is only in its third year). Good luck to him at Tech.

just goes to show the variability - Deweaver wasn't even mentioned by Simmons (he did mention the height - challenged TCU kid), not in the top 5 performers, apparently Dilfer loved him. Sparty fans are predictably butthurt in the 247 thread

It took an hour of watching until they showed the first drill, a fairly close shot of 3 or 4 qb's dropping back and throwing so you could see the release but not the actual throw or where it went. That lasted less than a minute. Other than that it's a couple of boring clowns talking about the players and camp history but not showing the people they talk about in action either live or on tape, from today or in the past, interspersed with the occasional interview of a player. The field and a whole lot of standing around by most of the players, and very little action can be seen from a distance but not close enough to follow any action or know who or what you're seeing.

This is the worst "coverage" of an event that's ever been put on anywhere in the known and unknown multiverse & in any dimension or alternate reality. Pick the worst soap opera or reality show ever made and it will look like the greatest thing ever made compared to this garbage!

Aside from all that, not really diggin it especially much...

I have only watched little bits of it but everytime I check, it's two guys talking with glimpses of the quarterbacks in the background. Terrible coverage.

I laugh at anything ran by Trent Dilfer. 20 bucks says the winner of this years elite 11 will be a kid no one has heard of that hasn't got power offers.
