Although I'm happy that he's playing moderately well, I'm on the thought process that it takes more than a year to fully recover from an ACL tear, so I think next year will be the time Brady really takes off again and shred defenses. I thought he played very timidly this year.

I really think Brett Favre deserves this award in a big way. Remember how pitiful he looked in his preseason games? He wasn't throwing passes for more than 6 yards. Now he is throwing the ball so well that AP doesn't get very many carries.

I might have jumped out the window if Brett Favre won any award. He has been talked about too damn much. If he gets the MVP over Manning, I hope there's a cushion down there.

I think 1 year is good enough to get you on the field, but it takes longer than that to get to 100% -- and that 100% is rarely as good as it was prior to the tear. It's a shitty injury (speaking from experience). It helps a little that he is a pocket passing quarterback, but still really significantly affects planting, pushing off, and changing directions.
I feel really bad for Welker, who lives off the quick plant and direction change.
