We got hosed at MSU and everyone knows it. We won at PSU, pounded OSU and followed it up with last night's beat down of Iowa. Pretty damn impressive Nov/Dec. If Tank Bigsby doesn't have the biggest bonehead play of the year and stays in bounds, Bama is not even in the discussion. I rest my case.

You're right, but in order to justify both SEC teams in, they have to rank Bama #1. They could do the right thing and treat the SEC championship as the "first round" with no redos, but they're too cowardly.

I'm still in the camp of if you didn't win your conference championship you can't be in the playoff. GA would be out replaced by the highest ranked conference champion, which I think is Baylor.

Notre Dame will be on the outside, looking in, as it should be. All they had to do was beat Cincinnati. Michigan should be #1, but that just means they will probably make Georgia #4. That’s fine, bring ‘em on!

Because the narrative in SEC land is that Georgia’s defense is not only dominant but they actually refer to it as “once in a generation” dominant. That is why they already want Alabama declared national champions. Because they beat the “greatest” defense in the history of great defenses. This is exactly why Bama will be #1….and nobody should be surprised.

Georgia absolutely played horribly. Bama should move up to 2, Georgia should be 3 and then we should be 1 based on resume comparison. Don’t forget that our one loss is very questionable with that awful bit of officiating that the conference even said affected the outcome of the game.

No other matchup is even close.
The committee can make that happen by either ranking M no. 1 and UC no. 4, OR M no. 2 and UC no. 3.

It avoids the rematch in the semi final and rewards the three winners. It also has a decent chance of avoiding the rematch entirely. AND a probability that there will be a HUGE audience for a Michigan vs. Alabama final.
