Title says it all. Blake was awarded the Collegiate Service Award at the Let Freedom Ring Awards held at the Fox Theatre yesterday. Well deserved young man. Proud to have you as a Michigan Wolverine.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr., left, and Bishop Tavis Grant present the Collegiate Service Award to University of Michigan running back Blake Corum at the Let Freedom Ring Awards Celebration at the Fox Theatre in Detroit on Monday.

Congrats Blake, you continue to show the world what an amazing young man you are, both on the field as well as off.  We are fortunate to have so many student athletes of outstanding character across all sports representing us.

No turkey is safe with Blake around.  Given the stereotype of entitlement that surrounds elite athletes, It refreshing and. uplifting to see how humble and giving Blake Corum is.  Any school would be proud to call him their son; I know we are.

Is this awarded by the NCAA?

If so, it’s the first thing the NCAA has actually done correctly in a very long time.

As for Blake being an exceptional young man - I only agree 100%.  It seems that Blake is an example of what Harbaugh is referencing for Michigan’s approach to NIL.

Go Blake.  Go Blue!

I don't believe this is an NCAA award. It was an inaugural award at the annual "Let Freedom Ring" event on MLK day in Detroit, organized by one of Jesse Jackson's organizations.

Very cool that Blake received the award from Reverend Jackson!

I love Blake, hard to think of anyone more deserving. And very cool to be recognized by the Rev. Jesse Jackson, himself..... but what is going on with that suit and turtleneck combo, my man??
