Big Ten championship game to be played in Indy ...
... starting in 2011 (Lucas Oil Stadium, obviously). It's not a permanent deal -- it's a one-year contract, and the conference will do a thorough search before deciding on a permanent home.
Sorry, I don't have a link yet as I just got the raw story (I work for an unnamed news organization). Just thought you guys would be interested.
not to be a hardass, but this violated the "informative thread titles" directive. boo. it has been changed.

I actually upvoted you on this one. If Brian agrees with you, you win. No argument here.
not to be a hardass, but your sig has violated the "keep the info in your signature current" directive. boo. I don't have the power to change it.
Good day sir.
Edit: I violated the "use the damn reply button to reply to someone's post you idiot" directive. Many apologies.

Good playing conditions and almost guaranteed neutral site: I think these are essential to sending a true champion to represent the Big Ten in whatever BCS game(s) they get to. I know many want to play the macho card, but I would rather see the winner decided with no excuses and no reason to complain.

Since I live here, but I think that Indy would be a great venue for the game. The downtown has been set up to handle this type of event-everything is within walking distance, and the Final Fours I have attended here create a buzz in the city that i haven't felt elsewhere.

an indoor venue would benefit Michigan moreso than an outdoor game. If this was the 70s or 80s, then anoutdoor game would be perfect, i.e. Lambeau, but today's game is better suited to a super-loud dome covered in maize and blue.
