Big Chill / Cold War 2 cheap ticket info

Submitted by Wolverine In Exile on
FYI-- for those interested in going to the Big Chill / Cold War 2 in December at Michigan Stadium a little ticket info for you... While public tickets will go on sale on April 21, paid alumni association members can get $15 tickets for $10 if you contact your regional club and ask to be put for the block ticket offer. Essentially, regional alumni clubs have an opportunity to request a block of tickets for their members through the big alumni assoc. The big AlumAssoc will then email the club president / ticket manager a code, and then the club can distribute the code to its members. You would then go on mgoblue.com, use the ticket code and be allowed to order the $10 tickets before they go on sale to the public. Plus you'll be seated in sections with other regional alumni clubs. You pay directly through the website and tickets are mailed directly to you. The catch(es): 1) Your regional alumni club has to request a code from the big AlumAssoc with an estimate for how many tickets you're requesting. 2) When you order your tickets, you'll need to put in your ACTIVE alumni association membership number. If your regional club hasn't sent out the info on this, contact your regional club president and ask them to find out about it and get the word out. This offer is only good until Mar 31.

football and hockey season ticket holder are going to be contacted in parallel with the alumni assoc deal I mentioned, but it's going to be by hard copy mailing. I would assume your deadline for responding is going to be later than this alumni deal, but earlier than the April 21 open sale date. I just looked at the mgoblue ticket site and they have a note about hockey season ticket holders, but not for football season ticket holders. You might want to email the ticket office: [email protected]

my aunt, who is the hockey season ticket holder has already received the notice for tickets AND has already requested them. I, on the other hand, am a football season ticket holder and i have not received my notice yet. go figure.

I'm an alum and also in the Alumni Association, but I still live in AA so I didn't specifically join a regional club. Do you know if I should just call closest one to AA? Or is there one specifically for people still in AA?

Hockey season ticket holders have until 3/31 to get their requests in. I think football and the alumni assoc. go next. I am very excited about this game. Is it too early to start planning the tailgate?

Season hockey ticker holders may purchase unlimited tickets. I do not know about other categories. From talking to the ticket office, it sounds like their goal is to have a sell out, so if there are limits on other categories they are likely to pretty generous. Note, the prior sentence is my opinion only and is not based upon anything other than the general attitude from the two different tickets reps I spoke with when I double checked that I could buy as many tickets as I want. I never asked if there were limits on other categories of ticket holders.

If I get stuck with the rest of the students, I am organizing the construction of a large sign to protest it. Shouldn't be too much of an issue as long as the student hockey ticket holders get lumped in the same spot.
