I'm looking forward to Antonio Poole getting to campus.  The 2011 class wasn't stellar, but I think Poole might be the best defensive player in it.  He better hope to make an early impact, though, with Ross showing up a year later.

Maybe the 2011 recruiting class will be the last year that OSU does better than Michigan, but a dominating Big 33 performance by Ohio (with six future Buckeyes on the Ohio roster) bodes well for Michigan's top rival. OSU-bound DE Steve Miller, CB Doran Grrant and future recruit QB Cardale Jones all supposedly played very well.

Poole can make an immediate impact as a starter. I will actually be a little surprised if he is not starting by the 3rd game of the season. It was nice to see Sparty's recruit was very unimpressive.

And all signs point to just total domination by Ohio.  Specifically I got the impression that OSU's Cardale Jones was the real deal, as well as soon-to-be-Buckeye Doran Grant, who took an INT 101 yards for a big score.

No mention of Poole or any of our other boys, but that's not to say they weren't fantastic either.  Just not enough room to laud all of the Ohio performances, I suppose...

Should've clarified... when I said local coverage I meant local to the game itself, which is just down the road in Chocolatetown, USA.  I don't live very far from Hershey and work even closer.  I used to get my hair cut just down the road from that very same stadium, which is also just on the fringe of the park itself.

At any rate, the H-Burg Patriot News coverage of the Big33 was all about the Ohio team this morning...

I think Kellen Jones is more likely to get playing time because he's bigger and I think his football IQ seems a little bit higher.  He can also play either MIKE or WILL, although the coaches reiterated to him that they saw him as a MIKE.  Poole is a little more limited as far as what position he can play, but he might have more upside in the long run.

to forget about Kellen Jones and Poole in this class.  You add those 2 with the LB's we bring in next year.  And that is going to be a dominating crew for many years to come.  I'm dreaming of a 3-4 Defense.  But that's just my Steeler blood talking.

This game was really indicative of a down year in Pennsylvania and a usually good year in Ohio. Next year's game will be a lot more competitive. Interested to see Rushel Shell and Drew Harris go up against the Ohio LB's (namely ours Joe Bolden and Kaleb Ringer).

Cardale Jones will probably transfer from OSU because of Braxton Miller.

From what I've read cardale will redshirt once he gets to campus to put two years between him and miller. I think that with the fact that miller was hurt a lot in high school should be reason enough for him to stay.
