Best Player to Wear #91
Here is an interesting jersey number. There are no first team All-Americans, no team captains, and yet, over all, this is a pretty good bunch of players. A number of solid role contributors who ended up playing on Sunday. Josh Williams, DT, 1995-99 or Matt Dyson, OLB, 1990-1994 are the most obvious leaders; but Tom Seabron, DE, 1976-78, Mike Teeter, MG, 1987-89, and Rondell Biggs, DL, 2003-06 deserve strong consideration. Here is the list:
91 Ray, David A. E 1949-51
91 Wolgast, Arnold K (Peter) T 1953
91 Keller, Dale E, E 1957
91 Lanka, Vitauts E 1958
91 Hornbeck, William E 1959
91 Franzen, Raymond T 1962
91 Sarnacke, Philip FB 1963
91 Pitlosh, Max T 1964-66
91 Seymour, Philip DE 1967-70
91 Williamson, Walter DE 1971-73
91 Seabron, Thomas DE 1976-78
91 Triplett, Todd OLB 1979-80
91 Nelson, Sim TE 1981
91 Triplett, Todd ILB 1981-82
91 Walker, Jack DL 1983-86
91 Teeter, Mike MG 1987-89
91 Dyson, Matt OLB 1990-94
91 Williams, Josh DL 1995-99
91 Casseus, Emmanuel LB 2000-02
91 Biggs, Rondell DL 2003-06
91 Pomarico, Tom OIL 2007-08
91 Slocum, Marques DT 2007-08
that Truman Capote was a defensive end in the 60s.
Seriously though, it has to be Josh Williams.
I did a double take on that one too...
I hadn't thought of the name Matt Dyson in a while, but a quick google search informed me he's the linebackers coach at George Mason University now, FWIW.

Oh, and my vote goes to Josh Williams.
What is interesting in Google stalking all of these names is not only do you find out the tidbits of their football careers, but many of them do on to be "The Leaders and the Best."
Just because I think he could still fill a spot on our "name" roster.
Phil's a former colleague. He's a good guy. So what if he was only on the team for one season :)
He was a beast.
Why? Fantastic name.
Definitely came down to Dyson and Williams to me. I don't have any great insight into why, but I'm feeling Dyson.
Marques Slocum because he is a fuck lion...
Is that horse dead yet?
He HAS a fuck lion.
now come fuck wit him
Seabron
I'd like to give Marques the nod, but he's only an excellent choice based on off-the-field accomplishments (if you can call them that).
After that, I have to go with Dyson as well. That's just at the time that I started following the team and the guy was a fuck lion, himself.
go with Josh Williams.
Steve Yzerman.
