Because you cant have one without the other; Double Mercy for Michigan SB
Michigan softball recorded the second mercy rule win of the day 8-0 against tosu. The first game today was a 9-1 mercy rule victory.
Jordan Taylor pitched the second game as well for her 101st collegiate victory. She finished the shutout with 8 Ks and 1 BB.
The offensive heros were Alycia Ryan, Ashley Lane and Amanda Chidester. Alycia hit 2 solo dingers in 3 plate apprearances. Ashley Lane went 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs. Amanda Chidester missed a second grand slam of the day by 3 feet. She had bases loaded but the deep fly ball was caught for a Sac Fly and an RBI.
It was really nice to see JT pitch so much. My guess is that Hutch will pitch JT a lot of innings the remaining 4 games. JT has never had an endurance problem but throwing 150+ innings in a 2 day span builds stamina.
Blue Dragon, you have something to add????
Maybe if the tigers signed those girls, they would win more consistently!
150+ innings? Those are some marathon games. My arm would probably fall off.
this thread to be a positive karma thread! Posbangs for the double mercy KO
I don't mean to be "that guy", but were three softball topics in five hours really necessary?
One of them was an open thread used to discuss the game. Another one was to congratulate jordan taylor on 100 wins. The third was to celebrate a double-header/double-mercy victory over that damn school down south. It's the offseason and you're totally being 'that guy'.
Perhaps the first and the third could have been combined, but come on...it's ohio. we HATE ohio.
this thread and freep fail is helping me get over the wings dong punching. Thank you fellow mgobloggers.
Now THAT'S the way to make me feel better about ekeing one out against EMU. :)
sweeping the Buckeyes by Mercy ruling them TWICE!..Life is GOOD
4 more wins and they are Big Ten Champions.....
This team could be the No 1 Overall seed #2 at worst for the NCAAs and SHOULD
host regionals and Super Regionals...Lets hope they remember what happened last
year in the Supers and play their best softball of the year the next 4 weeks!!!
GO BLUE
