He sort of fell apart in the second half. He had a pick and a fumble that I saw, but I liked his running ability. The announcers kept comparing him to Dennis Dixon, which is fine with me. One thing I noticed is that he will definitely need to work on his throwing mechanics when he gets to the next level.

Positives:

- Threw for about 250 yards, ran for about 120 yards.  Was impressive overall, as advertised.

- Was accurate with good zip on short/intermediate throws.

- Broke the pocket - to the right, always to the right, which got him in trouble on one occasion - anyhow, broke the pocket to the right on a play and made a gorgeous downfield throw basically straight up the sideline for a big play.  Was his best downfield throw of the day.

- In general, showed good composure, never looked lost or nervous or impatient.

Negatives:

- This is the big one - with a ~4-point lead and ~5 minutes left and his team driving in enemy territory, he was far too cavalier with the football and tried too much to make something happen when he was swarmed in the backfield; he fumbled and the other team drove down for the game-winning touchdown.  Ouch.

- He threw one pick in a "normal" game situation and generally seemed to lock in on his top target (who looked phenomenal yesterday and is headed to Oklahoma).  But again, outside of the fumble and one-off interception, he didn't make a lot of bad decisions (yes, that sounds stupid, but it is what it is).

- He threw another pick on what was effectively the last play of the game, on a 4th-and-long.  Wasn't a bad decision, but he underthrew a deep "jump" ball by a good 4-5 yards or so.

Overall, he looked good.  And skinny.  I'm excited about him, but while I acknowledge that I'm no scout I don't see any way this kid can jump into the Big Ten next year and have any sort of real play-in-play-out impact.  A great addition to the program, but most likely not any sort of savior.
