BBall Recruiting - 2021 In-State Prospect Primer
Very good group of perimeter prospects in Michigan for the 2021 class, likely the best we've seen in quite some time. Every kid in this group will have strong interest and several of them will ultimately get offered in the coming months.

Yes but is this an NCAA recruiting violation?
I'm not sure. Maybe someone could start a thread.
Now that we're a "Baseball School" too how do we delineate basketball (BBall) vs baseball (?)
Do you have any idea if/how Beilein's departure and getting Howard would affect our chances of getting any of these guys? Also, which of these guys have the highest interest in Michigan or are the most realistic to get?
I’m going to be candid here since Coach Beilein is no longer with the program. His departure certainly helps with underclassmen prospects, as his policy was not received well at all. The lack of consistent contact was not a big hit either.
Who do you think will be the first recruit Howard lands? I'm not counting Bajema resolidifying his commitment.
Can’t really speak intelligently on that because of the fluidity of the Franz situation. Jabri is a kid that’s very serious about Michigan as well.
At first I was excited that we were recruiting a kid with such a cool name: Prospect Primer.
But is he a 5 Starz ‘croot?
I love the profiles - Akins is 6’3” with shoes.
Reminds me of Fletch when he played for the Lakers...”He’s actually 6’5”, with the Afro 6’9”
That "height with shoes" exists as a statistic says something awful about the USA's education system. It means that people are incapable of adding 1.5 inches to someone's height.
Sigh. You are so spot on. But they say we are progressing just fine. Just look away.
Maybe we can hope the NBA doesn’t retract the one and done rule so we have a shot at Emoni Bates in 2022.
Not going to happen, but one can hope. After seeing this kid play I actually think he could start at U-M right now.
WTF? This has nothing to do with baseball.
Thanks, Matt. I'm always happy to see your posts.
Thanks Matt looks like a promising group. Hopefully Juwan can get a local pipeline flowing.
though they all look good, this pierre brooks kid looks like a killer prospect. he was just canning it, mechanics always the same. thanks for the info!
Bufkin is my favorite out of all of them. Kid just has it. Love Brooks scoring ability. Top ten scorer at Nike. Not a fan of Adkins which I’ve stated on here. Just don’t feel like he is getting better and gets by right now with his quickness. Roper is interesting. Seem to gain steam with P5’s once he entered high school but have seen a lot of mid majors offering lately. Hope he keeps developing.
Matt, as a side question, have you hear of Colin Weber in the state out of Hopkins? Just asking because my coworker is his cousin. I know he plays aau ball with The Family and has good size for a PG but I don't see him ranked anywhere
I’ve seen him a lot. He’s a good player at the HS Level but plays an undersized PF role for The Family and doesn’t get a ton of playing time and I’m not sure that he’s currently still with the program at this point. Very very good HS player
