The committee should punish the SEC's inability to crown a champ/playoff participant by leaving out Georgia or making them rematch in the semifinal

I heard Danny Kanell recently talk about when he was at ESPN the talking points they were ordered to read, direct from the SEC. He said when he played at FSU no one really cared about conferences, and that changed once the national postseason structure emerged

I'd expect Georgia to drop to 3rd and Bama to go to 1st in the next rankings, so it'll end up being Bama v Cincy and Michigan v Georgia. I think Georgia is very reminiscent of OSU this year, a good offense and not much else that we match up favorably with. If the last of my Bpone has really left me, then I'd have money on Michigan v Bama in the National Championship Game.

If they keep a 4 team playoff there should be a rule that no conference gets more than one team in.
Obviously that would not be the case in an 8, 12, or 16 team playoff.

We have this whole great regular season to decide these matters. 12-13 games to pare down 130 teams. Rematches only complicate things.

That’s not how it works, especially since there are more than 4 conferences. We should all want to see the best 4 teams in a 4 team playoff, regardless of what conference they are from. If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best.

These sound like Pollack level cliches. There's a reason the sec hype machine and talking points have been so effective. Former ESPN pundits have talked about how they literally get memos from the sec to say exactly what you said
If the conference seasons can't resolve to a single representative, that's on them. And it should dissuade Bluebloods from overcrowding certain overhyped conferences
