B1G Championship Game Interest

Submitted by samdrussBLUE on November 26th, 2018 at 10:23 PM

NW is playing OSU. How much interest do you have in this game?

Are you one of the 'in-the-minority' individuals rooting/hoping for OSU to win because you think this will lead to a better bowl game for Michigan?

I want to see if anyone out there is willing to admit this interest and desire. Does NW have any chance?

I will be pulling for NW all the way, but I am more interested in a number of other games this weekend.

On Saturday, there is one game worthy of attention, two to keep your eyes on.

#19 Purdue @ #7 Michigan at 3:30 PM, ESPN

#1 Gonzaga @ Creighton at 2:00 PM, FOX

#5 Nevada @ USC at 4:30 PM, FOX

Tis the season of hoops!

Won’t watch a second of it.

OSU will throttle NW much like Michigan would have.

The playoffs were right there for the taking. Instead, we tried out best Illinois impression Saturday.

As it happens, I’m going to Las Vegas this weekend. Hope that I could enjoy Michigans first ever trip to the B1G Championship game obviously did not come to fruition.

Having said this, BPONE demands that I have to expect that OSU will rout NW and reach the CFP.

I intend to bet OSU straight up and in parlays.

I would thoroughly enjoy it if OSU lost - but they won’t lose.

I will watch it.  Wouldn't say I am looking forward to it.  But, I did live in Chicago a few years and made it to some games so I enjoy NW.  I think it is impressive what they have built there.

I would like to see UM in the Rose Bowl but I would never root for OSU.  Woof.

I'm probably done watching college football until next season.  Pretty over it.  Might catch some night playoff games but will be spending zero time in front of a television during daylight hours.

I'll be watching it , but probably just sipping on an alcoholic beverage still bitter and saddened at the same time that another year has gone by where we aren't playing in that game.

Will be a long shot NW fan. Fitz is a cool dude. Will probably mute - so don't have to hear announcers talk about how great Meyer is for destroying Mich & his supposed health issues again...

Will be Clemson & Bama fans (again) if Osu gets in.

I want OSU to win so we can go to the Rose but if we have a bunch of players sitting out it doesn't matter anyways.

With all due respect, we don't have time to sit around and hope for the smell of roses.

Priority check for all of us... If we didn't beat Ohio State, we failed. Beating them is our only ticket to a B1G championship game. That's the reality now, and will be for the foreseeable future.

NW to blow the doors off Ohio State is what needs to happen. We've lost the last 14-15 to Ohio State Elementary and their fans still root for us to lose every single game. Fuck them... I'm never rooting for them even if it means to lose out on a chance for the playoffs. Fuck those pieces of shit!

If they lose it helps our recruiting. That is what's left of this season... Sadly

I'll check the score at the end of the 3rd quarter. If osu is down 30 points, I may turn it on just to jinx it and watch them win by 1 with 1 second left on the clock.

Seriously though, the refs are going to fuck over northwestern. Anything Delaney can do to make a blowout happen.

I will be there.   I’ve been to every B1G title game.   I live in Carmel so it’s not far.  The scene is so much fun in Indy on Fri/Sat.   Not sure how much fun it will be this year with NU involved.   Really thought this was our year.   I paid $1000 unrefundable for the JW Marriott a few weeks ago.

I'm interested in UGA-Alabama since both fanbases think they're God's gift to football, and it will be fun listening to Gary Danielson make the case for an immediate rematch since they're obviously the only teams worthy of the sport.

I could give two shits about the B1G championship. I think OSU wins 34-17 or by some similarly nondescript score. OU gets the last playoff spot. We get the Peach Bowl and finally LSU.

Talking about Alabama-Georgia brings a question to mind.  If Georgia loses badly to Alabama, is their season an abject failure and a reason to fire everyone?  Losing to OSU is annoying, but their roster is one of the few that approaches Alabama levels.  Georgia narrowly lost last year, and if they get blown out this year, does that mean they will never, ever beat Alabama?  Because according to the prevailing logic (not necessarily yours), that’s how it works.

Ill probably check the score around the 3Q. If its close, Ill tune in and root for NW. If its another OSU blow out, probably be like F-this and start hypong myself up for Bama to crush OSU

At this point, I have a minor interest in seeing the playoffs thrown into utter chaos, which would necessitate an OSU loss—and it’s never much of a stretch to root for that outcome.

However, I also enjoy a little recreational wagering on sporting events... and given the B1G’s active interest in a decisive OSU victory, I think that’s the direction I’m leaning.

Love the Maize and Blue, but when they’re not an option my next favorite color is green (not the Spartan shade.)

Will not watch it. I hope N.W. destroys them. I’m sure that won’t happen. I will never root for osu. Especially if Urban liar is there. Worthless human being.
