Arts and Crafts with Hassan Haskins

My friend made me a Hassan Haskins good luck charm for the playoff game!

She made sure to match the uniform from the OSU game. She is a die-hard Wolverine and a proud alum so give her post a like . . . Hassan did!

She also made a Harbaugh one that I imagine she is keeping as her own good luck charm.

Please use these voodoo dolls for good and not evil.

In all seriousness, they look great!

And if I’m deducing this correctly, and you are the friend from the IG post that’s battling cancer, you’ve done it once and can do it again. Be strong and Go Blue!

Indeed, I am that friend and the cancer fight is ongoing. As it happens, I had to reschedule my wedding because I might have to do stem cell transplant which means I will have no immune system for about 6 months. I'm told this is not ideal for a large gathering.

Well, my friend was one of a small group who was able to travel on such short notice and she gave this to me as a wedding gift. So, not only is she a top-notch crafter, she's a solid human too.

Sending you love and best wishes for health.

It was my great privilege to be a stem cell donor a few years ago. If anyone between 18 and 35 is interested, you can register through BeTheMatch. You answer some health questions and they'll send a kit so you can swab the inside your mouth. They will type your stem cells, and contact you if there's ever someone in need who you could be a match for. The odds of actually being matched are low (something like 1 in 500), but if you are a match you could very well save a life. Some donations are surgical (for bone marrow), but the majority are like mine: stem cells from your blood. You get a few shots to send your stem cell production into overdrive, and then they take them from your blood, like a slow blood donation. It's free to join, and all of your expenses are covered if you donate. Get more details or sign up at BeTheMatch.org.

First, f*CK cancer.

Second, my dad has multiple myeloma and underwent a stem cell transplant two years ago. He almost didn't qualify because he caught a nasty infection a month or so before (timing is fuzzy) when they started depleting his immune system, so watch out for that. Otherwise, he has responded greatly and the cancer is not detectable at the moment with weekly maintenance chemo. Thoughts and prayers for the same outcome for you, you got this! Go blue!

This thread should be titled “Arts and Crafts OF Hassan Haskins.” I was mislead into thinking I would be seeing Hassan crafting something and I am not happy and you did this on purpose….. your friends dolls are cool tho.

I would love to have a set of these to hang as Christmas Ornaments.  She could sell them by position groups of something like that.  Hang the OL or the RB room on your tree each year?
