Army/Rutgers games this fall - tickets.
Unfortunately we lost our longtime source of M football tickets and I’m forced now to look at other sources such as StubHub etc. We need 8 tickets (yes - eight) as we take our grandkids. Getting group sales for most games has, for the most part, never been an issue for the lesser competitive games. This year the only game open for group sales is Mid Tennessee. I’d rather to Army or Rutgers.
I keep checking the ticket sales spreadsheet here on this site. It’s of course a bit early but I’m thinking the odds of finding 8 seats together are slim to none for either Army or Rutgers.
My question is, now that I’m forced to do the StubHub thing and knowing we need 8 tickets, should I buy now or wait?

Come on. Take the kids to see Michigan beat the snot out of the Middle Tennessee Sacrificial Lambs. The kids will learn a valuable life lesson...about something. And, if they're young enough, they don't have to know that MTSU sucks.
Never take a lesser opponent for granted - we've seen this all too often.
It's not like we're playing the New Appalachian State Institute of Technology or anything. We should be fine.

If the ticket packs had been a max of 8 tickets instead of 4, I would have been able to help you out. 8 together will provide minimal options I fear. You may have to go 4 and 4 close by each other and hope to get a few people to switch to the "better" of the 2 sets.
Yeah... we’ve thought about doing just that. Splitting up, 4 & 4. Thing is, after so many years of all of us sitting together, it would be hard. We’ll see. Thanks.
How dare you suggest subjecting children to Rutgers "football". You're sick man, you're sick.
I would say with a group this size just buy now if you can find them. Even 6 together you could probably sneak in to the same section if the kids are relatively young or just get 2 other seats nearby or something. Trying to scalp or buy last minute may save you a couple bucks but with it being the opener I think you're better off snagging what's best for your group than trying to pinch a penny or two.

There's nothing in the world that should compel you to pay to see Rutger football.
The only thing compelling me is cost. Papa is paying. 8~)
I’m very dumb with this stuff, but I have been wondering how people are selling tickets on stubhub already?? Want to take the wife to the Iowa game but was scared to buy tix on stubhub when they haven’t been sold by the school yet.

Ii will most likely have 8 tickets together for the Rutgers game. I bought group seats and will not be using them all. I will know for sure by mid July.
