This reminds me of a line in Happy Gilmore.
"Happy Gilmore accomplished that feat no more than an hour ago."

Yes, he’s late to the party but in all fairness the breaking news of Army as a replacement was covered in the thread about Tennessee bowing out. I’ve seen (and I’ve done) worse

Credit for good intentions. But it wasn't enough to get you into positive territory.

Go Navy - Beat Army

I am a big fan of service academy football. My son attended USNA in Annapolis and we went to at least 1 game every year. 35,000 seat stadium full of fans playing solid triple-option football (somehat boring to a M grad) and good defense. Very few penalties.
The best part for me was the singing of the Navy Blue & Gold with the rest of the midshipmen after the game. Usually, the other team would come over and stand behind the Navy team. If the other team had fans in the stadium and they sang their alma mater with their fans, the Navy team would go over and stand behind them.
True college football all the way 'round.
