A+R Fundraiser: Now with 100% more Denard
Just wanted to put a last plug in for the Appreciate & Reciprocate fundraising dinner, because today is the last day to buy tickets. The event is next Friday, April 12th, at 6:30 in Palmer Commons.
The theme appears to be "Football Stars Whose Name Begins With D" because for featured speakers they started with Desmond Howard, then added Dhani Jones, and now their publicity says a certain Mr. Denard Robinson will also be there.
I'm not affiliated with the organization but appreciate their efforts. They are a group of LSA scholarship recipients who raise money for the Emergency Aid fund to help other students who need unexpected financial help. I attended their dinner last year, and won a few sweet auction items. Including a tour of the PDC with Coach Alexander. That guy is a trip.
They appear to be sold out of student tickets but regular ol' grownups can still buy tickets. Info here:
It's a great organization and I strongly encourage anyone on the fence about attending to do so. Last year's event was fantastic and I'm disappointed I can't go this year because it looks like it'll be even better!
